There are several "Tells" that a place isn't about good massages, most of the time.

When you see the provider is wearing very revealing attire.

When you ask for a full hour of good massage and they respond by saying, "We are busy, how about 1/2 hr".

Massage tables have no face cut outs.

Massage fees are a bit high.

Close circuit TVs in the room.

The music they play is on a very short loop!

Again, there are exceptions, but from my 16+ years of mongering, these are pretty much "the signs".
