The therapists tell me that the major purpose is so the owner can keep track of the numbers of customers and how long they stay in case there is a question about the therapists shorting the owners at the cash register. However, cameras in the massage rooms are illegal as an invasion of privacy. Moreover, the owners don't want any kind of video evidence of what does on in the rooms in case a therapist decides to freelance on her own.
