I thought maybe it is a good idea to publicly address the issue here because they all claim to be members (here).

I was INSTRUCTED to write "no black men please, personal reasons), on my ad by A BLACK MAN.

In the past I would ask (first name? Age? Race?) before scheduling anyone & decide then if I would book the session, a very intelligent, well spoken & even handsome featured black man got past my radar & got booked! He drove to me all the way from Columbus so I honored the appointment, about 25 min into the session I was nervous & felt panicky, he turns over and just flat out asked me "are you scared of me?" I scuffled an said NO WHY? But he could tell & although very nice about it got up & got dressed. He was genuine & easy going but said "you really should put (no black men) in your online ad", I said yeah right that would be mean! He went on to explain that although I gave it my best shot it's very noticeable that I'm not comfortable with black men an it's a waste of their time & money to try scheduling with me to be turned down without knowing why.

He said he read great things about me, but if he'd a seen in my ad, (no black men) he'd of moved on an not got his hopes up, he said a real man wants a women attracted to him or at least can fake it for the session & that I was very deliberate in avoiding anywhere above his knees so I was a dead giveaway. He said he wasn't into making women feel uncomfortable & he was sure if I put (no black men) they would just move on to a provider who wants to see them.

So I did it! I put it in my ad by request to save black men time & effort wasted on me.

For the record: because of upbringing & childhood memories I truly am uncomfortable with black men, it is unacceptable in this day & age. For that I am very sorry, I have always said EVERY CLIENT deserves to be treated with respect & every client should get the best service a provider is capable of giving, SCAMMING IS NEVER OKAY! I know if I take a black man's money I will be scamming them, I already know I won't give them my best services.

ALSO: in the State of Ohio, as a legal business owner I have the right to decline services to ANYONE, I don't have to explain why.

There are many white providers who advertise no AA men as a marketing technique because they think it might be perceived by white guys as setting them apart. The same goes for AA providers, who say I love W guys. You never see them advertise I love AA guys. The girls who stipulate they will only see AA men over a certain age are the ones who have personal experience for doing so or have been advised by other providers to stipulate that rule in their ad. There are actually some discussions of this topic with uncensored detail in some forums and candid comments by some AA providers. Many comments are from a cultural perspective.

I actually am NOT a massage parlor nor open to the public, I simply provide massage to a selective group, I'm am not in a store front nor have any door with posted hours of operation. I work privately, I use to work in a salon in fact that is where I got my start, I found a real demand for private massage, our society is still very closed minded and unfortunately my profession does have a stigma that follows it, 40% of my clients are those who followed me to my private studio are from the salon, they are health minded people who enjoy massage but don't want labeled as being someone who wants "pampered" . Massage is seen as something people want as a luxury, hard active workers really benefit from massage and don't want to be seen or feel guilty for needing them, also the "stigma" , I have clients who can't afford to have their reputations tarnished by rumors, if they are seen co I g and going from a massage spa they fear a family member or someone might catch them and assume they are up to no good. To avoid this they choose private providers. It's more expensive as you pay for privacy, but to them it's worth it.

I am aware of my licensing and I took the manager classes an laws, I'm aware of the discrimination laws, but our text books also say we can decline service to any one for any reason, I only put that (no black men plse) in my ad by the request of black men to save them time and energy waisted on me trying to set up a session, only to be avoided or cancelled if I figure out before arriving that they are black. It was there on their request, an now it's gone.

From time to time, this topic keeps coming up with you. There are a lot of women who advertise that they do not accept appointments with black men. That is fine and totally up to you. What I don't understand is how you are the only one who is being badgered and harassed. Why are they attacking you? If it is true, what is the purpose of reporting it to the board? You know they aren't going to go the BBB route; so just ignore them and go about your business.

I did read what you wrote. And copied it just above my statements here. You called her and her family a bunch of racists. Then you said she was ignorant. Then you called her a liar. Then you said that if black / white sex upsets her she is "truly one sick racist chick. ".

The fact is, she has the absolute right to see restrict her client base however she wishes. You don't know the underlying reasons for her decisions and called her out. I would say that you are the ignorant one, as well as rude. Well said. First it was politics and now it's race. I understand this is the rants and raves section, but where is the fun in all this. Again, most of us are here for light hearted entertainment that allows us to escape from the politics, racism, etc that we deal with every day. Every person has the right to see or not see whom they want. I completely believe and support that fact. A list of all the states will scroll down with the cities listed under the appropriate state. You must scroll for a while but Ohio will appear with most of the cities listed just as they are here except that they are in alphabetical order unlike here where Dayton is listed before Columbus. How do you guys handle getting references? Do you ask a provider "are you cool with me using you as a reference"?

I would think it's hard for the girls to remember who is who. Or do you share your username here? I've never asked them if I can use any of them as a reference. I just got lucky with some providers that want references, but somehow let me in anyway without them.

As some of you may know I just took some time off because of a loss of my own loved one (I'm sorry to hear of Heidi's loss as well). I was quite upset with the response I received when I returned.

I did not advertise my need for help nor did I ask for help but I was hurt when the response I got from "gentleman" when they asked about my absence was "So you're running specials then, right? ". And I also have to add that my very first visit back, I was shorted with no apology or response from the gentlman at all (yes a member here).

I had thought twice about posting at all but seeing a similar situation I was compelled to share. In a way it makes me feel like SOME gentlemen see an unfortunate situation as an opportunity to get a lower rate, not to help.

Again, Heidi I'm sorry for your loss and to all you true gentlemen, I appreciate you! A2 as well, as I saw your response to Ally's post about my absences!
