The first is that it's unejoyable to the point where it hurts because some guys have long nails, try stick a fist in, dig away and so forth. The second is a hygiene thing. People are nasty and to be fair a lot of people see hookers after doing something other than showering. I used to know a hooker who stayed at a low end hotel so frequently saw guys who did manual labor and let's just say that even hand washing doesn't get everything from under the nails and on the fingers. I have used Whitefusion Max several times over the last 5 years. It is a capsule and it effects last for up to 72 hours. They say to take it 45 minutes before sexual activity, but I have found that if you take it 2 or 3 hours before it works really well. Also, at sit down restaurants like Sullivans one reason you pay after is that they hope you'll be enticed to order more. Maybe it's another cocktail or glass of wine when you're done with your food or maybe it's dessert. At fast food places you pay because for the most part what you get is what you get and these days drinks are often self serve. I'm not really sure the fast food vs fancy restaurant can actually be applied to the 'ho game'. That said, as someone who eats too much fast food I can say that time spent waiting in drive thru lines is starting to feel like time spent waiting in parking lots. I'll also say that I've been to nice restaurants in other countries where they'll put your bill on the table either after ordering or when your food is dropped off and when you're done you pay at a counter. Like I said I think in the US the tipping culture results in servers pushing upsells hard and wanting that last bit of face time to convince you to tip more.

Other developed nations don't mess with it because it's nonsense and it creates insidious work environments for employees. America takes entirely too much pride in doing whatever it can in order to rip off low income earners. With every passing year, it seems like employees have fewer and fewer protections in the United States. I enjoy great service as much as the next person, but I don't enjoy the pressure of knowing that I'm responsible for them being able to pay for their rent or childcare. That's their employers responsibility, not mine.
Like the comment writer states, I've also been to nice restaurants abroad and they drop off the check after ordering or with the food. And I'll also have you know, I generally receive better customer service abroad and I never have to tip.
I don't need desperate wait staff in my face ruining a date because their overpaid boss is screwing them over.
