Jackson wasn't stating that directly toward me, at least I don't think he was. I didn't take it as being directed toward me. He was meaning people in general who post mug shots. It's kind of like that saying in that movie 'what we have here is a failure to communicate'. You can't really fault him for thinking a different way, he lives in a different culture where they think differently about some things. He just doesn't understand the difference in the ways of thinking between the United States and his country, wherever that might be. See, in other countries, prostitution is legal and accepted, and that might be the case where he's from, so a prostitute getting arrested might be unusual, and if they do it probably would be for something totally unrelated. So people there might think someone posting a prostitutes mug shot is because they're trying to bring notice or shame to some girl who under normal circumstances wouldn't be arrested. Here in the United States, SW's are commonly arrested because prostitution is illegal, and if it's embarrassing for a mug shot to be posted, then I can imagine what the girl's family must think if they were to pass by them when they're walking the stroll. Here not all prostitutes are the 'commercial sex providers' as he puts it, and they're no more than drug addicts who will do whatever is easiest to them in their mind to get money for their next fix. The legality and illegality of prostitution might be the misunderstanding to begin with, because as I said it might be legal where he comes from, and if it is, prostitutes wouldn't be known as mostly being on drugs and trying to get their next fix as they are here. That's not anger, or the desire to humiliate women, that's the truth. I don't believe he understands that prostitutes get arrested daily over here, and that mug shots are public record. And that us sharing a mug shot isn't to belittle anyone, it's to help fellow forum members out, regardless of if it's to warm about a bad SW or to help someone find a good one. Is it more important to protect a prostitutes reputation than it is to help someone from being potentially put in a dangerous situation ? That's all I'm trying to say.

The mugshots are posted most of the time for ID purposes so we know who is being talked about.

I havent seen any posted in anger towards the women or anything like that.

Jackson may not deal with or understand the crack-addicted SW in US cities.

What it reminded me of was how girls do in Atlanta, just walking down most any street in the main city center. Girls don't generally do that here, so she stood out, especially since she was the only girl out at that time.

Thats a bit different than the crack ****** who "work" in front of or very near their residences.

In the case of the poor first ave girls, I think many of them would value the extra customers more than the invasion of privacy. Invasion of privacy isnt even the right term when it comes to the girls who live in Motels and in ghettos and such.

Finally located Melissa about 1:30 today. Had a wonderful time as usual. Still think she's the best thing going around 1st Avenue - no drama. Concerning number three: with all do respect, you are ill informed. Mug shots are a matter of public record in the U.S. just like birth records, death records, marriage records, etc. The by-product of that public record may indeed abash some girls, but I would venture to say that the majority of them are far beyond being bashful about or fazed by an arrest record.

To address your conclusion: As others have stated, I believe that the cultural differences are the main culprit in this debate. You speak as if though you and your fellow countrymen hobbyist are very fond of your providers. I congratulate you on that fact. We here are as well; however, I can also infer from your tone that the game is completely different there than it is here.

In closing, as you may have figured, I believe that the mug shots are helpful to us members and helpful in many ways. I do agree, though, that if those pictures would ever be used to slight a girl they should be removed and that member banned.

Jackson, I see and understand your points, though I don't necessarily agree with all of them. I don't believe all LE websites and intentions are to embarrass arrestees by posting their mug shots on their websites. As I tried explaining before, it is for information purposes that they are posted, for the arrestees family members who might be looking for them or wanting to see how much their bond is, and it is also for the information of the average citizen to know what thugs might live down the road from them. Honestly, I'd like to know if some thug who lived down the street from me was arrested for aggravated assault or robbery or something of that nature. Now if a site is specifically set up to show 'Johns' and others arrested for prostitution crimes then, yes, that might be the intention of them to embarrass the individual.

I still haven't gotten an answer as to what the purpose was in the poll that was conducted in regards to whether we should be allowed to post mug shots. The poll ended with the yes votes being the majority. If that poll wasn't going to help decide what the outcome would be, then what was the point in it ? At the very least, if you weren't going to allow mug shots, you need to post it in your rules, on the rules page, not in just various forums. It is not clearly stated there, and as mug shots are very pertinent to discussions regarding SW here in the U.S., others need to clearly know they're not allowed.

Another point I was thinking of earlier today, this site is for the benefit of discussing where to find SW, escorts and the like among fellow mongers. The site is for the monger, and for the mongers benefit. Mostly mongers visit this site. I have seen sites that are solely 'for' escorts, and for their discussion of their clients, and they spend equal time there bashing their clients depending on how the date might have went, and don't think they wouldn't immediately post a mug shot of one of their clients if they had one to warn other fellow escorts. Most of these SW we have here locally aren't out there to 'please' the monger, they're out there solely for the purpose of making money to support their drug habit, and if they can get that money without having to follow through on what the money is paid to them for, then they will try to get away with it. I have had girls rob me several times, and there have been reports here of the same thing happening to others and of several girls pulling knives, threatening to kick out a windshield, and trying the bully tactics by making you think their thug boyfriend is going to attack you. These type girls aren't going to let you take a pic of them, and furthermore you wouldn't even get the chance to take one of them. And for girls we 'know' have robbed someone in the past, are we to, as people say, TOFFT and get with this girl with the hopes they might let us take a photo of them before they rob or attack us ? Sometimes mug shots are all you have. I wouldn't put it past some of these type girls to assault a monger, or even to kill someone if the situation presented itself- and all for money for drugs. You have to remember, these girls are addicted to drugs-crack, cocaine, crystal meth, heroin. Why do we have to protect these type girls who who could potentially at the very least damage our property or rob us of our money, and at the worst brutally assault or even kill one of us, just because we might embarrass them ? I'm sure you don't understand our points, because if you did you would clearly see what we are trying to say. Even for girls we might post who are just someone we had a good time with, girls that are out there on the street are way past the point of being embarrassed.

Another point I want to make is we never know who we're talking to here, no matter who it might be. And there will be some here who will suffer because of us not being allowed to post mug shots. Not everyone feels comfortable giving their email address out, or emailing to someone we don't know. For all we know someone here might be a LEO trying to act like a fellow monger. By not allowing mug shots to be publicly posted, the only option you give us is to send mug shots via email, and I, myself, will only do that for people I know, and have spoken with on here and through PM's. And even some I have spoken with on here but are relatively new or have only a small number of posts I might not necessarily feel comfortable with sending emails to. There are many, many people who visit here that never post a single message, yet they might monger just like we do, and the information we post here is invaluable to them, especially the mug shots. Could we, at the very least, be allowed to send pics through our PM's ? That way anyone that asks could get a mug shot of someone, and it would be out of the public eye.

Honestly, what someone does when they monger, I don't care. That's why I never voice my opinions on people who don't use condoms, or who like to let everyone know they made some girl swallow their 'load'. But when it comes down to a girl who robs someone or pulls a knife on someone, I want to know who it is, and I want to pass it along to others as well. I know I'd like to know what a girl looks like who might rip me off or attack me.

Finally, I'm not completely savvy on the ins and outs regarding photos, but when you mention a 'search engine presence' of the photos here's what I think. Firstly, when I post a photo, no matter what it might be, I edit it to change the name and reduce the size. This, in turn, erases all of the identifying information that comes with it when you put your cursor over it, as well as change the dynamics of the photo itself, making it in essence not the 'same' photo. Plus, by not listing the full name of someone, it's not like the photo would even come up in a search to begin with. But then again, as I said, I'm not completely savvy on those type things anyway.

Anyway, I'm not trying to argue, and I hope you don't think I am. I'm just trying to get you to see the different points we have on the issue. I will abide by what you wish, it just makes it difficult for us to help each other out.

The Legion Field area is the same as it always has been. I ride through there about every other day lately and see the same amount of girls there as I always do.

It's funny that mug shots are said to be embarrassing and denegrating, but yet some of the things posted in the 'jokes and humerous stories' category can be considered just as denegrating to women.
