I was a lurker on this board for a number of years, first when it was worldsexguide and then as usasexguide. It was only in the last few years that I decided to start posting. There is a wealth of information in old posts and I would suggest to newbies to take an hour and read, especially the streetwalker posts. You'll find lots of information and, yes sometimes you have to read between the lines, but most of the time it's possible to figure out what people are saying even when they're not being specific.

Cruise a little or go on CL and find an escort and review. We've all spent money for less than satisfactory experiences and shared those experiences on this board. We've also taken some chances on someone because intel wasn't available and hopefully benefited others from those chances. Taking chances and spending some money on unknown providers are the price of admission, so to speak. Help us and we'll be more than happy to help you!

Boy I can remember back in the day when I was called a newbie too. Even a SM with #'s for his favorite girl sometimes strikes out when he makes the loops. That was my case the other day when I spent about 3 hours riding around just to come up empty handed. Sometimes even a blind squirrel will find a nut! Everyone should take a minute and think back when you first started in this hobby and give the new guys a break. If you feel like taking a chance go ahead, if not then just don't reply. My advice is worth just about nothing if someone does not take it. So lets get back to what really matters and lets all go get laid.

First, uncle leo as it was put, has more to do than surf around on the net looking for guys who are looking for info on streetwalkers. If this were a big city who has a unit dedicated to this type of activity, I could understand that statement but with it being Richmond, I hardly doubt there is such a unit in the police department. Secondly, as others have said, we were all "newbies" and we all are looking for the same thing on here. As the previous post stated, lets get back to what this site is here for and stop treating us newbies like we are children. I want to thank the person who sent me the info about Angle in Hanover, I will definatly let you know.

Went for a cruise 7-8pm, JD and Hull fruitless. Not sure if its the cold, time of day or I'm just missing. Early morning did see some he/she 2ea, someone picked them up. Hope he knew what type of shitte he was getting into.

To be fair, there have been a lot of stings over the past year, netting dozens of mongers and ladies alike. This is a fun hobby, but loses its appeal quickly if you (or the best girls) get busted. Until you show you're legit, everyone here has the right to be suspicious/reluctant in handing out info.

I have given out info to non-SM's before, but each of them have contributed at least a few reports. They have taken a risk (even if it's on a known lady), and reported on it, benefiting the forum. I don't think it's necessary to scold newbies, but I also think you should earn the right to the info you're requesting.

I've only been a member here for a year or so, but took a different approach than many other noobs have recently. I have never been turned down when requesting info at any time during my membership here because of that.

Guidelines:
1) Read the 22 rules for mongering. Some of it's common sense, some of it may save your ass.

2) Read the locale's forum(s). I'm local to Richmond (and read every page in the Escort, SW, and General Forums before joining), but when going to another city that I want to have fun in, I read back quite a bit in their forums as well (a year or more, it takes maybe 20 minutes). You get an idea for the SW scene, the consistently good escorts/agencies, and SM's that you can trust.

3) Explore and post. Even if you strike out, report it. Doing your research and finding someone that hasn't been posted about before (or recently) will give you a lot of cred once corroborated by a SM. Also, make sure all of your posts aren't about the same girl, or people may think you're the girl self-promoting.

4) Don't solicit information in the public forum. PM members that have info you are interested in directly. Don't blanket 20 SM's, and don't start by asking for someone's ATF. Until you have some value in the forum, don't expect top value from its members. This is partly b/c we don't know if you're LE, but also we don't want to send someone to a girl we like that may end up screwing things up for the rest of us b/c they don't know how to act.

All that being said, welcome to the forum. I look forward to reading about your experiences.

Though I am not street-monging I thought I'd throw more support behind what JDBoy said. I've posted on here before and then been told by the lady I'd promoted that she nearly got arrested later in the evening by a cop who called her and set up a sting. I can't prove it, but I feel certain there are LEOs on this site who are using this site to aid them in their jobs. I don't want to get arrested and certainly I don't want to jeopardize any ladies on here, so unless I know you or see you are a trusted member I will be very reluctant to give you information.

She was one of my favorites! But there was a report a while back that she and a guy were ripping guys off. As I remember though, she was more along the escort lines...I'm not aware that she ever walked the streets.
