In case you have not noticed, all AMP's have a washer and dryer on the premises. The purpose for having these machines is so that the people working there can launder and dry their towels, sheets, wash clothes, etc. However, like business people and workers everywhere, there is a great temptation to save money and labor by re-using that which should be washed after every use.

In most cases, the girls and the mamasan work for an absentee owner. Mamasan charges the owner for the cost of laundry powder and other materials used in doing the laundry. If she can then skimp on the use of these materials, that's a few dollars per month which she can pocket.

The way to encourage mamasan to actually launder all articles after every customer is to speak to her if you suspect they are reusing linens. You could also mention that, were you to get lice or some other parasite after a visit, you would consider reporting it to the health department.

I thought I was going to be able to give you guys a scoop. However, I see some of you have already found a new and/or returning gem at Pine Tree. Carol. I wouldn't stay at a hotel that doesn't change the linens between guests, so why would go a provider that reuses them? But then, as they say, "to each his own".
