The Midget has been spotted!!
A while back a few people reported on Patricia, the hispanic midget, being over on S. Wilmington St. but hasn't been seen in a long time. Yesterday I just happened to be on New Bern Ave near the Kroger and new CVS and saw her walking down the street with a black guy. Couldn't tell if she was working or just going somewhere. For those of you who may have been looking for her keep your eye out on New Bern Ave.
Interesting article on prostitution charges
I just found the following -
http://www.salon.com/news/prostitution/index.html?story=/news/feature/2010/08/30/prostitution_zone_constitutional
It raises points I've always wondered about. How in the world can you legally prove loitering for prostitution. I know that here in Wake County those charges are used.
To me, this article really shows why we should just legalize prostitution, and then enforce the hell out of whatever system we come up with.
Craigslist removes adult services section
HARTFORD, Conn. – Craigslist has apparently closed the adult services section of its website, two weeks after 17 state attorneys general demanded it shut down the section.
The section had been replaced Saturday by a black and white "censored" logo.
Craigslist did not immediately return an e-mail seeking comment.
Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal, one of the AGs who pressed for the change, said in a written statement that he welcomed the change and was trying to verify Craigslist's official policy going forward.
He said if it was doing the right thing voluntarily in response to the AGs, it could set a good example for others.
In an Aug. 24 letter, the state attorneys general said Craigslist should remove the section because it couldn't adequately block potentially illegal ads promoting prostitution and child trafficking.
