They are indicative of being taken with an older phone or digital camera with too small of an aperture. This would also suggest older photos. Nonetheless, you have valid points. What bugs me is when they don't have their photos display in their proper orientation. They don't care. And if they signal they don't care how they present their "business," why should you believe they care about anything else?
