Looks like that thing isn't coming back anytime soon. Along with AMPs, it was my entry into the hobby training wheels.
CL has to be shaking in their boots. RIP BP.
Keep it hard.
Rrayr.
I had No idea these sites were going to be pulled down!
I'm sure a lot of the girls didn't either.
So the ones that are living in hotels and are users, woke up to a surprise!
When they went to post or answer ads and CL and BP were not available.
They are going to get their fix somehow and the handlers are still wanting their fix also!
Think this might add to more crime and SW's?
Looks like eccie is down also.

There's always going to be an issue of supply and demand. It's one of the oldest professions. Going underground will most likely lead to more trafficking, crime, and working the street. They'll find a way and we'll have to adapt. It's just like the war on drugs.
Hopefully they don't take this site down?

I think this is all about trying to get to the organized traffickers that have obviously been using these sites for years. Makes things 10 times worse when the police bust an organized group that is dealing with juveniles and it catches public attention. The unfortunate thing is the "harm" it may do to those providers that rely on this as their sole / primary source of income.
Won't take long for some entrepreneuring individual (s) to figure out the loop holes. Don't know that things will ever be back to normal, cause change really is the only constant, but there is nothing that can be done to completely suppress the hobby.
East.
Are. I. P backpage a lot of good times over the years.
But the last year or so it's was down hill anyway.
No spinners no blonde girls just fat ones that should not even post so yea you be missed sort of LOL.
With Craigslist gone, now Backpage gone. . I guess USAClassifieds is about the only avenue left. I've noticed several BP advertisers coming onto USA, Slip Away and others. . . So here comes the ironic part. . . . What's Rene going to do? She'll have to give in and join us. HAHAHAHA.

She probably still hasn't woke up from last night's bender to know what's going on yet. In between scrubbing shitters, I'm sure she will pop up. How perfect she scrubs shitters for a living. So appropriate.

East.
Actually, the trafficking angle was created a few years back to redefine the fight against this hobby. Things were becoming normalized as many countries relaxed or legalized things altogether and here in the US, workers were being given more agency. Just like the term "climate change" was utilized to redefine global warming, trafficking has been used to tackle this hobby and those who participate in it. Yes, there are evil people who use others, get them hooked on opiates, and pimp them out but they are a very small minority. As we all know, the current actions by authorities only make it harder to identify and help those who are actually being taken advantage of.
I would also add that this is not a left / right issue or a bunch of religious zealots. It is about those in power finding an area that they cannot control and exerting their control over it. To do so, they use things like trafficking, "for the kids", and "those against their will" because voters who are easily manipulated respond to these emotional strings.
The following comes from InPink, a forum advertiser on the Louisville USASG:
"As of right now, adultlook (one word) website with a section for louisville, KY is still up. This site hijacked all of the postings from backpage for every provider in the therapeutic section each time one was made. The good part about this, is that as right now, you can go there and get the contact information and a photo of every provider who posted on Backpage in the last month. Get all the numbers and emails now before it's gone".
I checked it out and it exists. Note, when you search it, it comes up with websiteoutlook.com in the url, which takes you to a pseudo site. Delete that part and it brings you to the site. I searched Knoxville and saw plenty of familiar faces.
East.
Lady Monica is pushing Instagram hard now.
Pretty smart I might add. Provided the pics aren't too risqué, it's a perfect format for exchange.
Pros: Direct private texting. Screening of clients. Provider has the power to accept / block.
Cons: Provider has to mine through potential serious clients. Weeding out unwanted clients would be a full time job. (But then again, this IS their full time job). Upset members can report escort services.
The "Sex control" movement is at hand.
Rrayr.
Volboater you are the man!! After all the bullshit of this week with the attack on BP I have to say that made me laugh out loud and smile. Thank you for the laugh in an otherwise down week!

Trying to read between the lines here and based on several federal agencies piling on, looks like they are going after BP's owner(s) for mail and wire fraud, Tax evasion and maybe even an exaggerated RICO act. So far the details of this case are sealed by a judge.
"This builds on the historic effort in Congress to reform the law that for too long has protected websites like Backpage from being held liable for enabling the sale of young women and children.
USA Tax evasion laws have very long tentacles beyond our borders with participating countries BTW.
Sex control and speech control in full affect.
