It's easy for LEO to submit a warranted request and have your IP address in, like he said, 24 hrs.

Also I never mess around in areas too close to where I live anymore. Always at least go to a different county. I use a texting app and a throwaway phone number to remain anonymous to the provider, to limit the risk of being googled for my real information. These girls and their handler friends are unpredictable and unstable. Who wants the risk of one of them showing up at your job or house? We can use burner apps, secondary phone numbers, bogus email addresses, etc. If any of us are using it from our personal equipment or from our home, it's all traceable and we've left a digital footprint. Unless you're using a physical burner phone that you've paid cash for and are either spoofing the location of and / or have the geo-location turned off, we're leaving breadcrumbs. Read the EULA of just about any app that runs on a mobile device, we've given them ALL of our information; if the app developers have it, LEO has access to it via a warrant.

I've been using text now & text free. It's ok for remaining anonymous from providers, scammers, pimps, but I just learned irrelevant from LEO. With the new laws and aggressive enforcement I wouldn't be surprised if future stings will not even have a physical location, or arrest. They will just send a letter for a court appearance to everyone who responds to their ad. Even if your response is just "hey" it will be enough.
