Long time lurker / first time poster.
Is anyone else surprised by the lack of good downtown options despite increasing RTO? Seems like a Good / Tokyo shop could do really well over the lunch hour and happy hour crowd.
As far as I can tell, the "downtown" options are basically:
International District: several along Jackson, stretching from 6th to Rainier, with the most notable ones probably being the Comfort / Spirit cluster, plus several scattered throughout I'd. The options are fairly limited; only Spirit has a TS, none go beyond HJ with any regularity, and none are known for young / attractive providers.
SoDo: there's Shangrila (changes names periodically) behind the Subway, which is somewhat conveniently located near the SoDo light rail station, and which does CFS and has TS, but mainly with older providers.
Belltown: La Moon which is ok and will do CFS.
Beyond that, it seems like the closest options are in Cap Hill (very limited) and you District. Nothing in downtown proper or SLU. Am I missing something?
