If I'm not into them--or I don't like what I've read, I simply delete the message without responding. It's highly probable that that's what is happening there: SBs ignoring you due to not being their type, because they already have a SD lined up who's sexier (or pays better), not liking your profile content, being a bot, or a plethora of other reasons.
It's to be expected when using the site. No matter how well-written the message, how much money you have, or how much like Brad Pitt you appear, the overwhelming majority of SBs just won't reply back. And any who "read" your message while not responding after 2+ weeks? Well, that only further solidifies the assumption.
