The cop says you did something, you said you didn't. Who does the judge or jury believe? For example he asks a street walker if she will give him a blowjob for 30 bucks she says yes, he arrests her. They go to court he says she propositioned him. Why do you think they are all wearing body cams to protect themselves yes, but also it's for the accused to make sure the police are being truthful. There was an article in the New York Times, I think, it's been probably over ten years ago about the culture of lying and fabricating evidence. They said it was shocking that not did they lie but it was expected of them.
You watch too much tv. There is no words to say or anything else that will prevent them from arresting you if they want to. The worst thing you can do is answer their questions. Also, guilty until proven innocent is bullshit. They can arrest and charge you knowing nothing will come of it just because they know what a lawyer costs to get you out of bullshit. There are some great cops who are honest, some that are shitty, and there are ones that are on a crusade to get us (yes we are the bad guys or just immoral).
No. A former job put me around a lot of layers, one very famous one in particular. It's from them that I got my information. If you're curious what that job was, there's a whole thread devoted to it.

I have had a run in with the law we're the police straight up lied and broke the law. It was only when my lawyer threaten to bring that to everyone's attention that the charges were dropped but not after it cost me a grand. It took him a couple phone calls to the prosecutor. So yea I was proven innocent of a misdemeanor that would have been cheaper for me just to plead guilty to. Yea justice prevailed LOL. If you are going to play in this game the possibility of getting in a fix is there, no matter how careful.
The US legal system favors the accused. They need irrefutable proof. "Innocent until proven guilty. ". The word of a police officer alone isn't enough for a conviction. There has to be physical evidence such as voice recordings, video, proof that cash was exchanged, other witnesses to the alleged action. It's not needed for you to prove you're innocent; they need to prove you're guilty. That's what pleading the 5th is all about. If you are forced to testify against yourself, and you lie, then you were compelled to lie by the court system. By staying quiet and not saying anything at all, it puts the entire burden on the prosecution.
Let me repeat. You don't have to prove you're innocent. They have to prove you're guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
I got to go with Bullet. It's wishful thinking to believe otherwise. D-nut is describing the "ideal" not the "real. " I've had run-ins with the law, and simply shutting up isn't going to be enough. You need a lawyer that is like fucking pit bull. There's plenty of examples of people being railroaded into admissions or convictions that never should have happened.

If he was any good at lawyering he would have stuck with that.

You will have an arrest on your record. And it WILL make the news with your name. True, the newspaper will run a story when the case is dismissed- usually in the tiniest type available, right below the sun / moonrise and tidal tables. And I'm sure your spouse will be fine with your cover story..../s

The accused have to pay lawyers to get out of trouble even when law enforcement has wrongfully accused them. They do nothing to correct this because they profit from abuses. Why do you think marijuana is still illegal, too much money in getting people out of trouble for something stupid that everyone does, that's harmless. That's why they lobbied for the lowering of DUI limits, more money. My friend spent 12 grand to get out of that. Not saying that's bad, but safety wasn't the reason behind it. The system is rigged, lawyers make the laws, lawyers are judges who interpret the law, and lawyers profit from it. If a lawyer does something wrong he has to go in front of the bar association to be punished by a bunch of lawyers. The court system is a good ole boys club ripe with corruption and needs oversight from outside.

Hobby Help
Starting to get bored or tired of this hobby. Thinking of walking away for awhile maybe longer. I really just want one maybe 2 steady utr nearby that want my money and nothing else. So many single moms or women in general that are struggling to make ends meet and they could easily enhance their situation by 200 to 800 a month If they are clean, punctual and even somewhat into it once a week or every other week. Someone talk me into staying or encourage me to bolt. Thanks.

Creepy older guy
I live out in the country and I have gotten to know a very sexy good looking young woman who bar tends for a living. I have gotten to know her name and checked out her facebook page and there are several pics of her flaunting her body in revealing outfits. Now that is normal for younger women today but there is something about her that my instincts tell me she could really do well as an escort. She is just very nice and friendly and has those tattoos that most escorts have these days. One of the bars she works is an American legion so you know she gets along well with older men. My problem is I can't figure out how to approach her with this idea without seeming like a creepy old guy. I'm sure some of you guys have done this so any advice would be appreciated. I guess just thinking this way makes me a creepy older guy. HA!

I say give it the ole college try and see if she bites. If she is down for some fun and I can get her digits from ya, then you got $50 finder's fee coming your way!

She'd probably only service a small handful of fellas and still make three grand a month while having naughty fun.
However, these days you'd be quite lucky to get a toothless trailer rat to service you in that way. It's just so damn sad how things have gotten around here.
