I know, I know, everyone says just give up your stuff and get out but I was far from home and really didn't want to have my car stolen. Now I carry a 38 to tip the odds more in my favor. I do have a CCDW license and maintain good situational awareness during my visit to keep it separate from others but still readily accessible.

Generally dudes will walk into a sting with their cell phone in hand. You can't have yer lawyer argue it wasn't you when you are holding a device with texts on it that say. How much for a blow job or whatever. So avoid the easy 'give' of giving incriminating information by having the evidence on hand. I wonder how many dudes still date on a cell phone registered in their own name?

From what I have read the courts are mixed on forcing an individual to provide 'keys' to encrypted files. Seems like there is a fair number of cases where being forced to provide an encryption key ISN'T considered 'self incrimination. ' But hey, your point on the level of the charge is pertinent. I smell soap, not cheap perfume. The lodging is terrible though. The skills is still room for improvement, and she seems open to instructions.
