While some scammers have gotten a bit more clever, most are still pretty obvious (to me anyway). More elaborate sites with some measure of registration verification like TNA have fewer scammers, but then you have to deal with their drama and BS.

Unfortunately since running an online scam is free or nearly free, the scammers have nothing to lose regardless of how many marks they get, so it seems they're unavoidable in this hobby.
