Germany was split into 2 countries east and west, same with Berlin. This stayed as the standard from 1945 until the 90's. US was engaged in a war, a silent war, the Cold War for close to 50 years. We financially crippled our opponent. The USSR. And won, we left this war as the world's only superpower. For many years we enjoyed this advantage. You see the news, Russia has supersonic nuclear war heads. We had this shit since the late 60's. China and Russia have half ass stealth aircraft. We had this since late 70's. And trust me our military is far superior than them. That's if the politicians stop playing general and leave the combat to the trained US military. I will not go into detail, but our politicians is what created the set backs, was more worried about the world's opinion. Than completing the objective. The object in Vietnam, Give the south a free nation. We failed them because of our politicians. Operation Desert Storm. We drove Iraq from Kuwait. But never went for the instigator. Many years later, Radical Arabs attacked our country. Those who misunderstand the Koran. It created a fire our nation has not seen since 1941. Our country was attacked. The generation that witnessed went to war with the same confidence our grandfathers did. We wanted to settle the score. But was held back by politicians and world opinion. Now 20 years later, our sacrifices are going to shit. Because of some dumb old fucker with Alzheimer's disease. All you who have voted for Biden, and support have created a nation security crisis. The economy is doing better now that businesses are re-opening. What a maroon.[/QUOTE]With all due respect to Vinny and Dnut (I like both you guys), gas prices CAN be manipulated by politics. Yes, supply and demand are the drivers of just about everthing economically, but when Biden cut off oil drilling on all public lands and stopped the supply line from Canada, those actions resulted in a decrease of supply and, as a result, higher demand. Even though those action may not have had an IMMEDIATE affect on supply, they certainly sent the signal that supply would be decreasing sooner or later and created a scare in the marketplace. Why else would Biden now be begging OPEC to increase production?

And let's not forget about JFK's election which most historians agree was "stolen" by the Chicago mob.

The President can raise and lower oil and natural gas prices. Closing off areas to new drilling, fracking or instructing government agencies to not approve new oil and natural gas leases on Government property or not using the strategic oil reserves are all ways the president can raise oil prices. The opposite also holds true for lowering oil prices. Lower the supply during times of high demand and the price goes up. Natural gas is somewhat the same except when natural is on the shelf during times of low demand during warmer weather.

Yes, Biden and his team conducted this last operation completely disastrous. But ignoring the 20 years of previous incompetence and pinning him for everything is just ignorant.

I also read that Biden is raising gas prices. Really? That would be news to the oil company executives. And the "no drilling in public land" comment is stupid too. That has nothing one iota to do with today's prices. LOL! By the way, prices have been COMING DOWN the last two days. Biden must've ordered the gas companies to do that too! (Funny).

Just a guess it's probably cheaper to get oil from Canada then Saudi Arabia, but anybody with a brain or a modicum amount of education would know that.
