Though drugs & prostitution seem legal here at times. LOL.

Do not conflate legalization with decriminalization.

While measure 109 did "legalize" psilocybin for therapeutic applications. It's still a minor traffic type violation outside of a therapists office.

It's status is fucking miles away from cannabis. You won't be able walk in to buy in stores. Cannot cultivate your own unless licensed. Need to get screened before use & then w / a licensed therapist. You can't even leave the treatment session while under the influence.

Again, not legalized. Decriminalized. As you can see from the three main parts I pasted:

Reduces misdemeanor drug possession to a non-criminal violation equal to traffic offense. People with small amounts of drugs including heroin, cocaine, meth, ecstasy, LSD, psilocybin, methadone and oxycodone will get a ticket and face a $100 fine or have the option of being screened for a substance abuse disorder.

Reduces penalties for what are now felony drug possession cases, which mainly will involve larger quantities. Under Measure 110, most of those offenses will be misdemeanors.

Funnels millions in marijuana tax revenue toward what it calls Addiction Recovery Centers, where people can be screened and directed to treatment options. Those tax dollars will also go to a Drug Treatment and Recovery Services Fund overseen by the state that could be used to pay for treatment, housing or other programs designed to address addiction.

As someone who was an early unwilling precipitant in the draconian drug law shit show who only escaped thanks to my skin color & parental privilege (just being transparent). This is long overdue in this country.

What I found really interesting about 110 was it had support in traditionally republican areas. I think no matter our party affiliation or feelings we can all agree on that the "war on drugs" has been a total failure & discriminates unfairly.
