The question still remains what happened in Pomona when guys were arrested with 'criminal' loitering intent to solicit. There was another case in Costa that was overturned on appeal. So I am wondering if the cops just arresting guys and seeing if the case gets thrown out. Or was the case overturned in a higher court.

Reality is the punishment alone of a lawyer and embarrasment etc is just as bad as they 3-5 days in jail you would get.

If the attorney met with the prosecutor then this would probably show them they could not win the ease if you had the legal precedent.

Police can hold you for 72 hours and not charge you. They only need probable cause to make an arrest to do this. You stopped with an sw in an area known for prostitution is probable cause to arrest you, even though cops normally don't.
