What's your trick to get service there? I've been there twice with no luck, even though I never had a problem anywhere else, current and now closed establishments included. Do you call ahead? Do you have a loyalty card? Do you park behind the strip mall? I'm at a loss.

I never resort to tricks. Usually I call ahead, as I think it's more polite than just dropping in. I'm always freshly showered regardless of whether or not I want a table shower. I'm always clean shaven and neatly attired. My attitude is always that I'm there for a real massage and am not just looking for extras, so I always book an hour. I always greet the masseuse and make sure to get her name, even if she can barely speak English. When I get on the table I never cover myself unless she tells me to. When I'm on the table face down and she's working on me I always keep saying something about how I'm enjoying it, even if she can't carry on a conversation. When she starts working on my legs I always spread them a bit to give a subtle message that she can get in deeper (doesn't always accomplish anything). Regardless of how close she is to me, I never reach out and touch her (I don't particularly enjoy groping). On the flip, I try to maneuver the drape (if present) off of me. And I always give her encouragement whenever she's working low on my abdomen or high on my legs. Sorry I can't offer any things that always work. Just always be respectful and remember that you're there to enjoy the massage, and any extras are not really part of it.
If you're getting a table shower you'll always be naked and you can judge whether or not you'll get extras by how thorough and attentive she is to your good parts.
And I never worry about where I'm parking. For Spa Tao I use their lot.

Victorth. Thanks for the info. Looks like we behave the same way. Luck of the draw I guess. And, I should have used "tips" instead of "tricks", as I didn't mean to imply any deception.
If I had been to Royal Paradise recently, I might have met Kim, a middle aged lady with good command of the language. Kim's massage technique would have been outstanding, with her sparing no energy, moving confidently, and being precise with muscle position. She'd even climb on the table for leverage when appropriate and asked me to stay still while she walked on my back. Then when it was time for the more delicate parts, she would have used a variety of gentle techniques and not said peep when I enjoyed myself and took my time. Hot towels, head and back revisit would have perfectly concluded the session. By far the best massage I would have received to date. Even better than what I'd get from Nana and her naughty fingers, and from the pretty yet unskilled Tina.
Had another great massage with May. Her friend was in the other bedroom with the door shut. The massage got noisy so I hope we didn't disturb her. Left very happy and very clean again, and neither eye was poked out. For me, I see no reason to see another for massage, she does it all well. Hope she stays around for a while. Did some different things this time to keep the massage fun. PM for details.
Ruby is new at RP. She's very nice, thin, quite cute and provides a solid massage though not as good as Nana or Kim. Her english is very basic, so you could have difficulties with adjusting the massage routine.

Anyhow, I stopped by ST after long time. Asked for an hour but they had another two customers were coming in 45 minutes. First she said she will manage and asked for payment. Kannie took me for shower which was awesome as usual and started massage. In 5 minutes, she asked how about if one more girl can join and give me four hand massage and can finish in 30 minutes., which was cool to me. So julie came and started with foot massage while Kannie was working on back. It was a great experience with 4, it was first time. On my second half session, one left and Kannie did good job as expected. Recommending to see her if anyone is visiting. Total was one 10. I left happy so I am good.

Visited Spa Tao for the 2nd time this month. Got a nice TS from Connie (Kannie?) who I'd seen back in November and who remembered me. The massage started a bit strange: after a few minutes there was some loud conversation (in Korean) between her and another masseuse, and suddenly it was the receptionist working on me for several minutes. And then Connie came back again for the rest of the session. On the flip she went right to work and accomplished her goal. She finished up the hour with more massage, so I got the full hour.
But I'm going to think twice about going back: she didn't change the sheets for the next client, and just refolded a towel that she'd used on me. I wonder if I got used sheets too. And the actual massage just wasn't satisfying.
I will say that they seemed especially happy to see me. As I left, the masseuse I'd seen earlier this month came by to say Hello, and gave me a hug.
Damages were $70 + $40.

I've seen the same at a few of the AMPs in Providence. One thing I noticed at ST is that the table was heated. Kind of nice on these freezing days. I think my next visit will be at RP. It's spotless and my masseuse stripped the table when I was finished. The extra 10 is worth it in my mind. Although. I miss the table shower.

I now make it a point to call ahead and ask who's working. The lady at the front desk is perceptive and you don't have to drop much of a hint for her to try to accommodate. Variety is the spice of life.

Ah, sorry to hear that, but thanks for saving us the trouble. I tend to give new massage therapists a shot, so I likely too would have been disappointed. I can only recommend Kim, Nana, Donna, and Ruby & Young (should they come back). But glad that you are satisfied with Tina. I'm sure a personal connection of some kind goes a long way.

So, stuck in the area with limited options. On a main road in a strip mall. Clean. First issue, the walls to each room don't reach the ceiling. Second, table shower was in one of those prefabricated "tub-like" tables. They are too short for me and they are hard. Totally impersonal experience. Third issue...halfway through my massage, mamasan came in and switched my therapist because another customer requested her. Too bad, she was quite good. Her fake name was Jen, I believe. All in all the job was done, but I would not repeat. I'd only give a half-hearted recommendation too. At least I did not have high expectations when I went in.

Tried the newer location of RP. They don't offer table showers anymore, but they are set up like a very nice lounge, no rush, offer free beverages, sauna, etc. There is a very clean men's room where you can shower before your massage, which I did. Soap, shampoo, everything provided. Once I was done I was told I could hang around before or after my massage and the place was so nice I considered it.
Drew Tina for the massage. Late 30's, very pretty, okay English. Her massage skills weren't great, but the whole set up was very comfortable. Flip 1/2 way through, and got the job done. Light oc roaming. Post flip she went right back to the massage and I almost fell asleep I was so comfortable. 80 for an hour massage and I tipped 60.
Not sure how much or when to offer the tip, so tipping tips are appreciated.

For about 1-2 years it has been totally legit, or just plain bad. Very nice woman running the place, but I don't waste my time going anymore. I would be extremely happy to hear this has changed, but I highly doubt. My recommendation is to skip it.

Recently paid a visit to May and although I hate to admit it I was disappointed by the experience. If you have seen her you know her location and setup and I had no problem with any of that. The problem came during the massage.
She was definitely rushing things along and her cell phone was almost constantly buzzing. At least she turned the volume off for the massage and set it to vibrate! She kept the cell phone on the table and would respond to text messages with one hand while the other hand stayed on me. Didn't she think I would notice that? I can tolerate a text or two during a session but I won't accept almost constantly texting with one hand while the other hand moves so slowly it seems to just stop on my body. In fairness her massage technique is not bad, but this time she seemed like she was quickly kneading dough on my back and there was almost no tease.
After the flip I caught her looking at the clock several times. When I wanted to move to the bed she directed me back to the table which limits the choices. I finished up in missionary and it wasn't bad but it was a very different experience than I am used to with her. It should be said that she is indeed a sweet person, a cute GND spinner with a nice body. After my last experience I can honestly say her current trend is definitely more towards service dilution and mechanically moving things along. All I can do is report my experience and as I said it will be a LONG time before I even think of returning to see her.
