I had a vision about both places this week.
I believe both are Chinese backed.
Both offered the best massage that I ever dreamed, Very pleasant staff and roaming was allowed above & below.
But NO Extras to be had at all.
Left happy but not my dream of an AMP.

Now if he puts a decent shirt on and the spruce the place up and it doesn't smell like a used wok, that would be a better experience.
The massage however, was very competent and satisfying. The lady was friendly and confident. Table seemed a little small. Overall I would not revisit unless I heard that the premises have been upgraded somewhat.

All very friendly. At the same time I am friendly and I tip fairly and they know it so I get a good reception. Once there I got the stone massage once which was less impressive than it sounds. So I would say that the massage quality has been uneven. I don't favor it because of the goofy door flaps. They need to fix that situation.
Edison road-- I have seen a nice looking white woman coming out of there as a client so I think they are very therapeutic massage oriented if you pardon the pun. Also they have a fancy website. I don't make this location for any sort of HE type activity. I think there is a niche for therapeutic only Chinese massage places. I have had quite a few "westerners" do massages that were overpriced and underperforming compared to the average therapeutic massage. I enjoy the Chinese mssage so much that I feel it's important that there is a diverse service offering around town. So I wish them well.
I like this place, personally, and I am in no hurry to promote it and make it too busy. I always get a good satisfying and professional massage. Here however is my list of beefs. 1-- it's too damn cold. They need to turn up the heat. 2-- The girls hardly speak any English, although, come to think it, this doesn't bother me personally even though I suppose it might bother others. 3--Also they need to vacuum more often. 4-- also see if they can get the dark ring out from the toilet bowl. That irritates me, even though they have been keeping the place cleaner recently. 5-- Sometimes one of the girls is kind of moody, too, which can be a downer. I mean they don't have to be bubbly or whatever but how about a mildly positive mood at least? 6-- and they both seem to watch the clock too closely. 7. They also need to make sure the batteries in the smoke detectors are charged because it kind of ruins the peaceful environment if you can hear one beeping. They fixed it now but I remember that was happening back early summer maybe, and it was kind of annoying.
Top on Hickory: Great place, very clean. One lady speaks much English, the other one almost none. Both excellent masseuses. Only thing I don't like is that its too busy. I was in the middle of a nice massage once and it was lots of customers. And a few of them looked like baggy pants riff raff. I don't like to see chumps in these places because it makes the ladies uneasy and they always do better when they too are relaxed.
Best Oriental in Granger: Again, great place, very clean. Apparently shared management? I find them the cleanest and that's important. I mean all these places follow basic sanitary sheet and towel changing, but this place seems extra conscientious. I like that. It's really spic and span. Also this place will do a back walk, which I like. However, again, this place is too damn busy recently, I have had to turn away twice. You guys better space out your visits during the day on this one some, night gets too busy and they will raise rates or something if we don't watch it. Also this place seems to turn them over fastest. Lisa has been there a long time but the others have rotated more frequently than others. Personally, I like to get to know them a little better. If a lady really gets to know how to work out your muscles well and then -poof- she is gone, that's a bummer. Finally, again, later at night they seem tired sometimes and the energy can drop off right when it needs to actually accelerate. So they need to take more breaks or get more sleep or something, I don't know. They seem like they work very hard but masseuse is a physically taxing job and they need to be energetic to get it done properly.
The places on 31-- I never went to new impressions because it weirds me out that they got busted for FS a few years back. I am not looking for FS. I have lurked on this forum for a couple years and that has been out of bounds around here at these places and that is fine by me. None of them are crossing the line on this or even coming close. One almost wonders if there isn't a policy in place that has been established by all relevant actors. That is fine by me. I don't want to be in a place running testing the boundaries and possibly ruining my day by getting greedy. No judgment of others, only speaking for myself, but I am content with the expectations that have settled in around here and appreciate the chance to get a professional and satisfying asian massage in a safe and clean place. If there is an extra handshake or hug at the end that is perfectly fine too but the undesirable attention a place would get by testing boundaries would be bad for business. I am there for a nice relaxation and not any drama.
The other place up nearer the border, on the west side of the road, I tried a few times. I got a weak massage from two diff girls there, the worst I ever had around here, maybe a couple years ago. I gave it another try and finally had a lady I liked that knew proper methods and had a good mood, but then poof she was gone. I didn't go back because I don't have time for even one bad massage. The solid therapeutic massage is the bedrock of the experience and if it stinks then I have wasted part of my life. Also in my modest and admittedly limited experience, if they can't give a decent back massage than nothing else will be much better. So I will try this place again some day, but if I get a half-way back rub I am going to end the session early and walk.
I believe that they are smart enough to find this web page and read it, and, if they read this yes I want them to know, don't start a lady on massages unless she is going to do a decent job on it. The other stuff is where the tip comes in, but when a place charges you up front, they better deliver on the mandatory therapeutics.
I have made a few posts and will conclude with this thought. Always give these ladies a good tip if they try hard. I call them girls sometimes but we know they are all middle aged. I have never seen any younger than 30 here at best. So they are no spring chickens. And they are foreigners in our land and have few friends and we should show our generosity and quality as Americans to reward quality and good work. Here at this forum, which I have been reading for years, occasionally I have seen some people talk tough here and gentleman, bad attitude is counterproductive. If this county is a nice place to work we will have quality staff placed here in clean and orderly establishments, reasonable expectations will be met, and a good experience will be consistently available. If any bad apples ruin it for the rest of us by acting like jerks, it would be most unfortunate. If some people aren't satisfied they can go fish in the big pond down in Indy. What we have here is modest and decent and peaceful and it can stay that way. Thanks for listening and be safe.

I've never been to Lemon, don't know anything about it.
But the story, if you read it carefully, suggests that actually they had no evidence of any illegal activity, just some complaints from people who don't like it. And the ad seemed saucy. So they gave them a hard time so they closed. Maybe they shouldn't advertise on backpage is about all this suggests. It also suggests that Elkhart County is not a good place for AMPs.
I would hope that other shops won't close just because of a few complaints. Imagine if every liquor store got shut down because of a few complaints from busybodies.
The core service is the massage. One can get a massage in a hundred places around here from westerners but do they work out the knots and stress as well as these Asian places. Not in my book. They get a bad rap from jealous CMTs that don't like the competition.
Lest the powers that be adopt the same negative & unfair stance towards Asian massage parlors in St Joe county, I make the following observations, mostly for them, when they come here and read this.
1-- we are talking about at least 8 business all of which have been operating for years without any violations of law or prosecutions at all. I doubt they even have complaints from other local businesses or residents. Volume is low and parking is never a problem. None of them are open past 930 pm or so, so nobody is coming and going at off hours.
2-- of these at least 8 businesses they pay rent, and they are darn sure paying some kind of taxes, nobody can get around taxes of one kind or another in this country. The employees-- who knows how many but figure around 20 working at any given time-- they too are consumers of local goods and services themselves even if they don't go out much.
3-- the locations are not really depressed locations but they aren't premium ones either. It's better for the public to have a business that is peaceful and quiet and helping people feel physically better than to have a vacancy that does nothing, discourages other local businesses, hurts landlords, and drags us all down.
4-- men who work physical jobs hurt all over and even men who have desk jobs get older and our backs hurt our feet and hands get arthritic and as an arthritic old man myself I want a massage but no way am I going to the mall for one. I would rather have an Asian woman I don't know give me a massage, than go into a place with a bunch of white women who may be my social peers and are going to want to talk to me or tease me or maybe even gossip about me when I am gone. So sorry all you other CMTs out there, you charge more than them, and you should talk less to clients. I just don't want to go to Massage Envy in the mall and have a chatty cathy working on me I would rather be able to have peaceful silence for an hour.
5-- Lets talk about methods for a second. An American woman can go out there and study accupressure points or even qigong or get some alphabet soup certifications in this or that asiatic branded method (reiki, what a joke) but its another thing altogether to get a massage from a Chinese woman who has grown up in a culture that actually believes in qi and has lived it. I have had a lot of massages from westerners too and some of them thought they knew accurpressure points and some knew them better than others. I have never had as good a massage with proper accupressure point manipulations however than I have had from a Chinese person and yes I had one from an old Chinese guy up in Chicago years back that was great. Nothing against our fellow Americans here, but the cultural belief in qi goes into these massages and if you have had them a lot and payed attention to your body you know that you are getting a lot more from a good AMP massage than just "happiness. " So this is pure customer choice.
6-- a lot of us are using these and we vote and we make political donations and we may in fact be democrats and the elected democrats in ST Joe county have been and better keep on being hospitable to these businesses because we like them and it will not be good for the community if they fall under selective prosecutions.

First time poster, First time ever getting a massage. Visited New Horrizon on Lincolnway East in Oceola on Friday. Went late morning. Was met at the door by Coco. Attractive young lady. Well young to me. Probably in her early 30's. Very nice lady. Again first time ever getting a massage. Very nice massage. She seem to hit all of the sore spots. Only got the 30 minuet as I didn't want to go to deep the first time. Room was very clean and Coco was very nice. Didn't ask for any extras as I was a nervous noob but the experience was great. We sat and talked for a little while after the massage was over. She said that it looked like they were going to close this Monday. She told me this was the same owners as Lemon in Elkhart. Didn't say why they were closing just that they were and may open under new name and management in a couple weeks.
I will definitely be keeping an eye on it as Coco made this a great first time experience. Gave her a nice tip, probably to big for just a massage, but again she worked hard, did a little clean teasing and was very nice. If this place does close I will try to find out where Coco ends up and maybe get a little braver and see if there are a little bit of extras available.
Had another season today at NH. They were open so I was a little confused about her statements last week that they may not be open.
Anyway, went for the 60 minuet today. Once again a great massage! But remember this is only my second time to an AMP. Coco was very friendly as she was last time. No extras but I have only been there twice so there is hope. I don't want to be to forward. Allowed some causal touching but again didn't want to get carried away just yet. But all in all a very pleasant experience.
I got the opportunity to go see her Saturday evening and was presently surprised. She is a white massage therapist and her office is very clean. She gives a good massage and I left happy. She advertises on Craigslist.
Noobie67, thanks for your contributions to the board. There is no reason to be so reserved and timid at NH or at any other AMP. They are in the pleasure business, they won't be offended if you let them know what you want. They either will or will not provide the desired service, but you need to be a bit more aggressive. Especially on your second visit, it was time to find out what they think of you as a customer. After you flip over, make eye contact, give her a smile, and rub her ass or thighs. If that isn't enough to get things started, guide her hand where you want it. Maybe ask if she would mind massaging one more place and indicate where that might be. DO NOT offer a specific tip for this, that puts both you and her at risk. Just say what you would like to happen. And it will.

Thanks for the advice Putt Putt. I will give that a try next time I go to NH. BUT. Had a bad day yesterday. While out doing my job I had car trouble. I was over on 933 so I thought what the heck. Left my car to get fixed and went over to Best on 933. Very very clean place.
Took some things I have read in the forum. Like not covering with the towel when I laid down. Had a little bit older lady but still attractive and very nice. Forgot to ask her name. Absolutely a better massage. She was dressed in dress slacks and nice oriental top. I thought ok good thing my back does hurt cause I'm dropping for two massages in one day.
I was loving the massage. She was very good at find the sore muscles. Flipped. Maybe she could tell I was timid and did make comment a couple times about this only being my third massage.
Then she just took matters into her own hands. Never indicated or asked for tip or anything. Allowed some roaming but again I didn't push to much.
I know the session went over on hour but she seemed determined to make sure I was completely happy when she was done. Left very happy. From start to the finish she was very good and in control. Will definitely go back here.

Since LE had no strong evidence to arrest anyone at Lemon (otherwise they would have), they simply tracked down the owners and threatened them with legal action if there were any arrests at the place (even though there likely wasn't any real basis for it). LE's goal was to frighten the owners into shutting down the place, and that's exactly what happened. NH was probably expecting the same kind of treatment but, since no one complained, they get to stay open.
It's sad that all LE has to do is contact the owners of a business (any business) and tell them there's suspected illegal activity going on and that the owners will be held liable if anyone is ever arrested at the business. Frankly, that sounds a lot like illegal harassment. Seems like a decent lawyer would have gotten LE to back off on that kind of crap in a hurry. I wonder if they do the same thing with major retailers like Walmart?

The therapists know why you are there. It's not a coincidence that only guys go to AMPs. They know what you want. They know that they will get a bigger tip if they give you what you want. They want a bigger tip.
So your job is to make them comfortable and show them that you are not LEO so this can happen. Both parties leave happy this way. So do some grabbing and squeezing on the flip. Don't go overboard where they think you are creepy. But do enough that they don't have to worry that you will arrest them.

Glad to hear NH is still open. Haven't been there in a few months and would love to see Sophia again. I wonder if the level of service is the same since the recent Lemon incident. I'm sure she'd remember me so that may play into it. I just hate to drive an hour for less than the same level of service as before.

Anyway went to New Impressions on 933 yesterday. Got there about 11:30 just in time to beat the rush. When I left there were 3 waiting in the parking lot. Nice clean place but not a lot of parking as it is like a little strip mall with a nail place on one side and think it was a pizza place on the other. Met at the front desk by three ladies, two were ok one so so. Led to room. Full doors. Nice rooms. Went for the HR. Which has become the normal for me. One masseuse helped me to undress.
Massage starts like normal with one of nicer looking girls. With in about 5 minutes I now have 4 hands. I didn't ask for 4 hands but it was nice. Didn't see who the second masseuse was. They were working on both sides of me and couldn't really lift my head. Very enjoyable experience. After about 30 minutes one leaves the room and left with the more attractive lady. She stumbled around a bit as like she wasn't sure what to do next but then got into the groove. By this time there was a lot of activity at the front door. Allowed some roaming. Tried very hard to provide the massage I wanted but couldn't seem to complete. I don't know, maybe waited to long to begin, or maybe the technique wasn't quite there or maybe I have just had to many massages in a short period of time. LOL.
Tipped like I would for a completed massage and said we will try again next time. She giggled and said yes we will. On the way out she gave me a business card for the business and wrote her cell number on the back and said to call ahead directly next trip. Very friendly lady. Good experience.
So my rankings at this point.

She kind of goes at you like a wolverine. But then settles in. For those of you that complain about not getting the roll over tease, I'm not completely sure what your talking about but if it is what she spent 5 minuets doing before my turn over. OMG! That blew my mind. In a good way. This girl has skill and the finish was just as good. If her looks were as good as her skills, I would just see if I could live there. LOL.

New to the area and new to the hobby, but I thought it was time for me to contribute.
New Horizons in OC is the only establishment I've visited so far. All others I know about are too close to contacts outside the hobby. Was really hoping to try Lemon, but they closed before I could. Would like to try something new and have considered taking a trip to Battle Creek or Grand Rapids.
My first several visits to NH, I drew a older, skinny woman She was very kind, and helped me get over my nervousness. Unfortunately I had to take several months off for health reasons. When I returned last week, none of the girls I had seen before were there. I drew Coco, and left satisfied. She is attractive with a nice body and cute personality. Speaks good english. Good, almost too hard, massage that touched the right places. On the flip, she tried to get a bigger tip to get comfortable, but I didn't need the extra encouragement. I'm looking forward to seeing her again. Total damage for the hour was 60+40.

If she charges $175 for a half hour HJ session and then expects a tip on top of that, guys would be crazy to pay that. This is way out of line with market prices. Unless she is a supermodel, that is just too much.

I was inspired by Noobie67 to try Best on 933. In short, everything that he has posted about this place is spot on!

A tall, slender, attractive lady. Her name was Li Li, I think. Was the masseuse. The room was clean and comfortable. Her technique was firm and methodical. Really worked out the kinks. On the flip, she had a light touch that was nothing short of phenomenal! I left very happy and I'll definitely be back.
Best on 933 and Best in Granger are apparently owned by the same people. My punch card from Granger for the 10th free massage was honored at 933. Both places are outstanding. Hard to say who is truly *best*.

Guess ill head back there this week always had good experiences there will never forget my first time there fell in love the best tease I have ever had! Did capture your attention yet? I know I am new to the hobby but I don't think I will ever go back to any AMPs previously visited by me. Was traveling today and had time to kill in Michigan City at 421 and 40 by the interstate ramp. A little place called sun spa.
Walk in the front door and your in a waiting room. Ring the bell, sit down. A couple minutes latter this hot little number comes out. Body was a 7 or 8 dressed in what I call a tube sock dress. Face was probably a 6.
I'm thinking oh hell it's on. But I still tried to be respectful since it was my first time there.
She asked initially about a shower. I passed. But I will definitely see what that is about next trip.

It's a must try and we'll worth the trip. Keep in mind, they only do 30 minuet sessions for 40 but that's all I needed!
