I live in CT and I am looking for a short stay hotel in the Providence area. It doesn't have to be right in town. I am looking for something in a safe area. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Can anyone point me to a short stay hotel near Providence?
Can anyone point me to a short stay hotel near Providence?
There are some on Rt. 6 in Seekonk, Ma and a couple on Rt. 6 in Johnston, RI
you can try.
Mongers,
Was wondering the purpose of the classified section of the Forum?
Is it for the ladies to advertise, or for the mongers to advertise for ladies?
I only ask, as there are zero postings.
Thanks
Anyone been lately?
Bill to close prostitution loophole
01:00 AM EDT on Thursday, March 13, 2008
By Cynthia Needham
Journal State House Bureau
PROVIDENCE — With the nation’s eyes trained on former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer’s alleged involvement with a prostitute, Rhode Island lawmakers are considering a bill that would close the loophole in this state’s laws that makes prostitution legal if it occurs indoors.
The proposed legislation has become something of a perennial bill in recent years, but has never been passed by the General Assembly. This year’s version came before the House Judiciary Committee again last night, where its sponsor, Joanne M. Giannini, D-Providence, argued that extending the state’s misdemeanor prostitution statute to cover indoor activity would make it easier for the police to crack down on suspected brothels.
“A lot of people don’t realize that prostitution is legal in Rhode Island if you do it indoors,” State Police Inspector Stephen Bannon testified. In an accompanying letter, State Police Supt. Col. Brendan P. Doherty noted that under current law, “persons are free to solicit sex for money in newspapers and/or over the Internet as long as the conduct that is agreed upon takes place in private.”
But opponents, including the Rhode Island Affiliate of the American Civil Liberties Union, say the bill would unfairly target the women who are forced into prostitution.
The Judiciary Committee took no action last night, though House Majority Leader Gordon D. Fox, D-Providence, said in a statement that the House plans this session “to look very carefully at closing this loophole once and for all.”
They bring this "loophole" bill up every year, and it never gets to a vote. Why pass it? So we can have our politicians arrested too? Maybe they should legalize it and take some of the $$ and balance the budget!
You pass these guys on the way in or out.

Well guys I needed a REAL massage and I saw Amanda's ad on CL under therapeutic (NOT erotic) e-mailed her last nite. Set up the appt for this morning. She arrived on time (actually 5 minutes early) carried her table inside for her. A quick set up and off we went.
While she is a young, pretty, sexy lady she is a PROFESSIONAL. No extra's whatsoever are on the menu! She is VERY nice and most importantly she gives a GREAT massage. She actually went over the hr by a bit but I didn't mind.
She knows how to use her fingers, palms, wrists, forearms and elbows to really loosen you up. I was draped the whole time and she never crossed the line but this was what I expected. The only exposed parts were what she was working on at the time. If I had wanted the extra's I would've gone for that somewhere else.
So if you're looking for a legit real massage you can't go wrong. I'll try and attach her ad so you can read it yourself. Take care, HAH

Thanks for the information HAH
It is funny, I was just thinking about getting a legit "real" massage but didn’t want to go to a normal women’s massage place. I like the AMPs but not for the massage as most of us don’t go there for that. It would be great if I could find the best of both worlds; a good provider and good massage at the same place. I know Amanda is not the answer for that at least I could get a good massage while I continue looking.

This cracks me up, a posting from today on CL:
To all you gentlemen that dont know the meaning of upscale here it is:
1-Generous
2-Well groomed
3-Profesional
4-Clean, smelling good
5-does not talk with street slang
7-shirsts neatly tucked, pants above waist, work uniforms ok
Not Upscale
1-Penny pincher, cheap, guys who want to negotiate
2-Street thugs
3-boxers showing above pants, and pants falling of waist, wrinkled clothes
4-dirty, meeting escorts without showering
5-Street Slang usage
6-phone game players
7-No JOB
8-HOMELESS
9-DRUG ADDICT
Please allow me to elaborate on her definition of upscale:
1 Generous= I want every last cent and will do the least amount to get it.
2 Well groomed= Yeah, well I love how you keep your socks on so I can't see your filthy feet
3 Professional= Exactly what does this mean? By professional does that mean I've had to have been in porn films?
4 Clean, smelling good= Right back atcha baby
5 Does not talk in street slang= What chew talkin' 'bout Willis?
6 Shirts tucked neatly, etc= Lady, I'm not here for a fashion show.
Now for not upscale:
1 penny pincher,,,= Whatever gave you the thought your whatever is worth what your asking as a 'donation'? You've gained 50+ pounds and had 2 kids since your "recent" photos.
2 Street thugs= If you can't get a feel for a person before inviting them to your place, that's on you.
3= see #2
4 Dirty, meeting escorts without showering= Unlike you who schedules back to back half hour appts.
5 see #2, again
6 Phone game players= You have caller id, if it doesn't happen by the second call why do you answer? Desperation?
7 No job=I'm a trust fund baby, what's a job and why is it so important to you?
8 Homeless= Why would you ask? How does a homeless person afford you?
9 DRUG ADDICT= right,,, like you'd know
Had to laugh, only in RI.
This guy could win world stupidest John.

On Election Day San Franciscans will get to vote on whether or not to legalize prostitution. Can you imagine that in this backward, provincial, state run by hypocritical Catholic crooks?
I am a first time poster, but have been reading the board for a number of months. I live about 75 miles away, and recently made my first trip to Providence. Chose Cheaters for my first visit, to see if what they say is true. It is. No place like it that I've ever seen.
Next trip, wanted to try the AMP experience and chose Central over Downtown, mainly because I drove in on rte 146 from worcester area, and was convenient. On my way back to 146, what do I drive right by but the Cadillac Lounge. Third and fourth trips, Central followed by a stop at caddy. Recieved FS at all locales. You locals are so lucky.
Haven, t figured out the escort scene yet. Ocer 200 posts today alone on craigs list. Mostly ass shots, can't tell one from the next. Very few reviews, most reviews are bad/warnings, and I'm not that familiar with the city neighborhoods. Only found 1 provider that I'm interested in.
Thank you, great site

This was a riot! On CNN this morning, Ciccillini was interviewed about unemployment being so high in RI and specifically about the Foxy having a friggin' job fair would-you-believe. He did a decent job but it was impossible to avoid stepping in something or other, and dude did some serious steppin'. He invited the news anchor to visit Providence and said he would take him for a Legs n' Eggs breakfast. Imagine: Mr. Cooch-Buster himself pimping for the gals at the Foxy! He did pretty well on another one, though, considering Rhody's infamous "Family Ties" running half the state--he kept silent and a "straight" face when the anchor was asking the Galveston Mayor about her Governor rejecting Federal funds now, and she said something to the effect that she believes one should NEVER turn away money that's offered from any source. Of that group, only Ciccillini seemed aware that his predecessor took a long vacation over that issue!
Be careful out there, gents. His finest donut-suckers are always vigilant--watching intensely for any signs you might have a tryst, other than, of course, at the Foxy.
Looking to get some viagra, anyone know where i can find some. Tried the doc, and it was a no go, but heard it helps with mood, etc. PM please. Thanks I realize it is a long shot.
Mosfexx50,
The tabs advertised on the top of this forum are the real deal. They come from India, packaged as generic V, at a reasonable price. However, If your doctor says "no go", then you should realize that taking it could kill you. Ask your doctor why and think about it.
Good luck!

Try another doctor! I have never heard of a doctor saying no. Your doctor, no offense, is a self righteous prick.
You can also google about 1000 places that will send it to you through the mail, but if you have health insurance, usually 4-8 pills a month are covered.

Have you asked your doc why he said no? Do you have any medical issues? If you have certain ones as Russsellres said it can kill you. I don't know about the imported stuff, if needed I think I'd stick with drugs from CVS.
Also, there is a good section in this forum ...
All Forums > Special Interests > Viagra and Other Performance Enhancements
Have tried e-onlineprescriptions.com out of curiousity a while back and the ordering process was flawless.
As others have said, this "advice" is not meant to override the doc. We don't obviously know you so definitely find out if reason for turning down your request for Viagra was because of medical reasons. If not, have fun!

If you do decide to get the blue pill take it with plenty of water. It's a good sized pill and if it gets stuck in your throat you'll have a stiff neck for a week.

Some poor schlub in Kansas had Viagra pills but was afraid his wife would find them, so he dumped them in his well in the backyard. Now he can't get the pump handle down!
Hey fellow RI mongers just wanted to know if the whole indoor pay for play thing is still legal or not in RI? I have been told yes and I have been told no. Any able to set the record straight here? Thanks JP
As of yet, the law has not changed, so yes, still legal.

Come and enjoy it with the rest of us.

For the time being it is still legal. They seem to be treading cautiously before submitting the final bill so it could be a few more weeks or a few more months. I would guess months but could be wrong since I don't have any real inside info.

A monger. Making indoor prostitution could be to our favor. It will put more women in the street as SW.
Hearings are scheduled next week.

Honestly,This bill is nothing but a waste of our time and taxpayer dollars(how Can WE even afford this right now?).
What people choose to do behind closed doors in completly their own business....this is someform of "invasion of privacy".
Quoted from the Projo article:
The compromise bill treats prostitutes who work in brothels or out of their homes the same as prostitutes who ply their trade on the streets: both would face criminal misdemeanor fines or imprisonment, or both. First offenders would face fines of $250 to $1,000 and up to six months in prison, or both; multiple offenders would face up to a year in prison.
Landlords who “knowingly” profit from prostitution on their property also would, for first offenses, face fines of $2,000 to $5,000, and one to five years in prison. The penalties, adopted from the Senate bill, would punish multiple offenders with fines of $5,000 to $10,000 and from 3 to 10 years in prison.
Rep. Joanne M. Giannini , D-Providence, the House bill’s sponsor, said she is pleased that criminal penalties in the compromise bill are “exactly the same” as the bill that passed the House last May.
It's obvious that they're tryin to give this a go, just to get more $$$ to the state, not because they "suddenly care" about Public Safety.
Guess they didn't get enough with the RED light cameras and the stupid parking tickets on Prov? !
Now ask yourself: who is the "victim" here?
I rather have spent their time and my tax dollars focusing in catching real criminals, and getting them off the streets: gun violence, robbers, etc.
Or on a better Education System.
Heck, spend the tax $ on fixing the damn roads, its more worth it.
If this pass, we have to be really careful fellow mongers, cause we are gonna become a main focus/target.
Btw theres 2 bills.
The other one is to keep people under age 18 from working on the RI Stripclubs.
Let's see what happens.

It's coming, build up a stable of regulars now, it's about to get very risky out there.
The senate voted to make prostitution illegal in RI.
This will take effect once the governor signs the bill.

With the passage of the bill.
Will the AMPS close or become super cautious? Will you have to be a multiple repeat customer before extras are offered? Will some start working out of their home/apartment, if they have one? Or offer outcall service? Will we see a increase of Asian sw'ers?
With the passage of the bill.

I think we'll see about half the amps close, mostly the newer ones. I expect them to be very cautious, especially with new customers. I think we'll see a few publicized busts on the evening news. Things will probably calm down after a few months. It will take just too much manpower for law enforcement.
Myself, I'm staying away from the AMPS til we see how it all shakes out. I can't take the chance of becoming a TV star on the nightly news. Be careful out there!
I think most of the newer places are gonna shut down as well. The older places that shuttle the girls between here and other locations will just adjust their operating procedure to mirror their other locations where they don't have the legal shield they once had in RI. The indys that work on the sites are gonna get hit pretty hard by this as well. The Hotels near the Airport and downtown will probably be targeted early in the game. As far as the massage places go they started opening them up way too fast and that shined the light of the media on the game and thats when action usually occurs. As far as legal challenges time to play the wait and see game.
OK, if the law goes into effect on Tuesday, when the governor is expected to sign the bill, only one day remains (Monday) for legal fun. If this were your last meal, figuratively, where would you have it and what would you have?
I intend to visit Providence on Monday, but I am definitely not going to an AMP. I don't want some reporter trying to interview me as I am going into Lily's asking me what I think about the law and what am I going to do after Tuesday. xD
Still need to decide who to see and check availability. Monday should be a big day in The Ocean State.
