Alleged prostitute, customer arrested after beating in lobby (New Britski)

NEW BRITAIN — A city woman was arrested on prostitution and robbery charges Monday after she allegedly set up a meeting with a man and he was attacked in her apartment building, police said.
Myra Williams. 46, of 41 Beaver St. Is accused of setting a 'John' up for a robbery after he solicited her services around 3:30 a. M. Monday.
Williams was approached by 46-year-old J F about committing a sex act for money and she agreed to do it at her apartment, Sgt. Jeanette Saccente said.
'He was allegedly attacked by a male laying in wait in her building, ' Saccente said. 'He called police and reported that he had been attacked and robbed while riding his bike on Beaver Street. '
Williams told officers that Fritho's version of the events wasn't true and that he had been attacked as they were entering her building, Saccente said. 'She alleged not to have had anything to do with the attack but was carrying money believed to be taken during the robbery on her. '
Fritho then told police that Williams had gone through his pockets as he was being beaten by the other man.
Fritho was charged with making a false statement and patronizing a prostitute.
Williams was charged with prostitution, third-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny.
The man who allegedly committed the beating was not located, Saccente said.
