Thanks for updating us. I've been reading accounts of what is taking place, but so much of it seemed unreal.
I have a lead on a new place.
Anyone have any luck here?
This site takes forever to update. I made a few posts at like 10 am this morning. Its now 3:41 PM and still not updates. What's up with that?
I think it is because you are still a regular member and therefore on moderated status. In other words, someone has to read your posts first to make sure they are written appropriately.
As stated in the FAQ's for this site:
"Regular Members may post reports, view and upload photographs, and use the private message system. However, Regular Member's reports are held briefly until they are reviewed by a Forum Moderator.
Senior Members are former Regular Members who have been members for at least 6 months and have made 25 or more contributions to The Forum. Senior Member's reports are held briefly until they are reviewed by a Forum Moderator.
Unmoderated Members are Senior Members who's writing style somewhat follows the Forum's Posting Guidelines. Reports by Unmoderated Members are not held for moderation."

Anyone have any luck here?
That picture has been circulated quite a few times. It was funny the first time I saw it, however.
The best sign I ever saw is right in East Haven on main st.
I see that it has made it's way to the web and I was able to find it

Doesn't sound like too much fun....I mean...it sounds like you have to do all the work yourself - LOL
Today I was having lunch at one of the typical chain restaurants on the Berlin Turnpike in Newington. I ate at the bar and an older gentleman sat down and ordered a beer. Less than 5 minutes later a very attractive woman met him, ordered either water or a mixed drink and they began talking. He was at least 75 years old, and she looked no more than early 30s. Straight blonde hair, past the shoulders, I'd guess around 5'5"-5'6".
Dressed nicely, black leather jacket with some type of emblem on the left breast pocket. She was by no means a BBW, but maybe could lose 10-15 lbs. I've never met Tracy (Imsizzlhot), but I think this girl was too light and too young based on what I have read. Although I was a good 15-20 feet away the sp radar believed this was no accidental or father / daughter meeting. I had places to be and could not stick around, but it did seem curious.
Watched the History Channel the other day and they had the history of prostitution on the Wild West Tech show.
On one part of the show they reported the names that customers were called, one of them was: monger.
Guess you never realized we are all part of history.
We need to carry on the tradition...
I enjoyed that as well. Nice show. Glad we didn't have to play back then. That was ROUGH'N it.
If I could just turn the clock back 20 years to this hobby. Maybe 10. Hell, I'd go for 4, when I think about it. I'd never want to hobby in the Wild Wild West. But World Wide Web is just as fearsome, and even more dangerous.

I'd turn back the clock to 1991-92 when Alpha was at its peak in my opinion. Good quality and none of that membership crap, just show up and enjoy. Combine that with the Oriental Spa in Waterbury (my all time fav AMP) and the fact that strip clubs hadn't all yet adopted the LD and VIP room stuff so you could enjoy yourself at a place like Mardi Gras in Springfield for just the cost of a few beers and some dollars on the stage (or those old plexiglass boxes they had). I'm talking when a strip club was a bar with naked girls and not a "Gentlemen's Club" designed to drain you of all your cash as quickly as possible.
What are "Reports" and what are "Views" referring to in the view where you are looking at posts by a certain person.
For example, when I look at the list of posts by Wanderer, and I look at the first listed post with the title of "Now I know I'm getting old, because I can't..." next to it is "Reports: 430" and "Views: 60,710."
What do those things refer to? What do those numbers mean?

Reports = Number of total posts in that section of the forum.
Views = Total number of times those posts have been viewed.
If a folder has 1000 posts but 5 views, it means no one reads it. If it has 2 posts with a 100,000 views it means everybody reads them.

Alpha at one point after being raided started to use these little gold membership cards. Anyone remember that? They were discreet, and had a number in the bottom right hand corner. For a while nobody without one was allowed in.

Never had any kind of membership, card, numer or otherwise. Just walked up to the desk, said "Hi" and walked right in. Guess that's a privilage of being a
regular customer before any of the bullshit started. OT
