Guys walking around with the ladies
Are they there for protection? Are we to "assume" they are available if they are out at a certain hour, walking along certain streets, etc regardless if they are walking around with a guy or not? I've seen some interesting selections lately but they are walking around with someone. Not sure if I should "slow down", pull over, drive by several times to try and make it known I'm interested. The last we all need is to cause problems by picking up the wrong lady.
Any advice?
Again, thanks for the advice
I read your OP on this again, and I would have to add that it is not a good idea to "slow down" or pull over immediately, to let them know you are interested. When you are cruising, you should be going just a little bit slower than normal, but not so slow as to attract unwanted attention to yourself from civilians or LE. You should always loop around the area at least once before you make the scoop, just to see what is going on, in general. Watch out for the bike cops in Manchester, they can be hard to spot at times. What you really need to do is watch for "the look" from them and try to make eye contact, which is OK to do when you first see them. If they appear to be indifferent to cars passing by, they probably are not SW. Also, I never pull over right beside them, Usually will go down the street a little ways and let them walk up a little more, and I don't talk to them out the window, if they are SW, they will walk up, make eye contact, and will hop right in with you. Then, get the hell out of the zone, just make some small talk for a little while as your leaving the hot zone, before you start talking business. As far as everyone looping and no one scooping, that may be true, but I have witnessed plenty of other guys making the scoop, and I would rather let him have first crack at her than pull over for LE. One other thing, if there are too many mongers at the same time being obvious by their continuous circling, take a break and let things cool off for a while, be aware that there are local residents around the zone, watching for the same cars going by over and over, taking down plate #'s, and making the call.
I haven't been out on the streets lately. But I will keep your advice in the back of my mind as I make the rounds again in the near future. I promise to post all successful scoops and not so successful scoops (which I hope are very few and far in between if at all).
