But, since December, I've had three drive about an hour (two coeds from nearby schools) -- pre-screened it so it was pretty much a done deal that if we were who we said we were and did not find lunch too awkward, we would spend the afternoon banging each other senseless. You also don't know when your friend wil have their hours changed or call out sick. I am surpri8 sed they did not require a DL. Just came back from my 2nd visit to the same hotel in 2 months and they asked for I'd both times.

She did ask for my DL and I flashed it, but she really just did barely look at it, and I think she caught the difference in spelling from what is on the credit card. As I said in the original post, when I paid a cash deposit the made a photocopy of my DL. That's why I went w / the CC.

Then you going to have some splaining to do, Ricky!

I still think it best to use a prepaid card with enough on it that it would cover anything that might be placed on it as a hold if it is a reloadable debit card. Many different cards available that allow you to do just that.

Once before I booked the room for FC and the hotel's card scanner would not take a prepaid debit card, and I used the same credit card as I did yesterday. No charge ever showed up, I paid cash and got a $0 balance receipt.

In my earlier post on this particular hotel, I mentioned that I wanted to use a prepaid debit card there, and they would take a debit, it just had to have your name on it. A reloadable card doesn't give me anonymity. It has to have your real name and SSN associated w / it, I believe. Why go to that trouble when I already have a credit card that does the job?
