No illegal activity is happening in the pictures since there is no way to prove that Slove paid for the sex. Even if Slove said that he paid for the sex, the police could not arrest him because there is no way to really know where the pictures were taken. For example, if he had sex in Jackson, Mississippi, the MPD (Memphis Police Department) would have no right to arrest him based on a crime that happen out of Memphis.

I thought about that about a year ago but never put that much thought into it but what you state makes so much since & I understand all of it. You have done really well in the research field & this boards "needs" guys like you to keep us on our toes. FWIW I also saw on CNBC that everything you print out of your printer can be traced back to you if they want to. There are little codes and numbers you can't see that print out with each sheet that can indentify your printer. Makes you want to think twice before sending a crazy letter to your boss at work or something LOL.

I also saw a report on some creep slime child porn guy who had posted his pic online with the porn, but with his face blurred out, but they were able to pretty easily go back in and unblur his face, and there he was plain as day for all to see and they found him and got him.

I bet the FBI could tell you a lot more.

However, I seriously doubt posting pics of yourself having sex with a women will ever lead to your arrest. If you posted pics of a murder or kiddy porn, then the FBI will use computer forensics to discover whatever they can about you. And if the FBI is hunting you based on pictures you posted, they can most likely find you based on your Internet Service Provider (comcast, etc).

Yeah, laser printers and copy machines put a little widget on every page printed or copied which can be traced directly to the serial number of the device printing the page. Different manufacturers use different formats, the codes used by some manufacturers have been deciphered, some of them have not. Some print on the front of the page, some print on the back. They are not easy to see, assuming you know where to look in the first place. Presumably scanners embed the serial number of the scanner somewhere in the file they create, or are capable of doing so. This was done at the behest of the US government under the pretext of making it easier for them to track "criminals" using these "secret" coded tracking information. Of course, the real reason is they are just plain simple Nazis who don't want [B]ANYONE[/B] in this country to be able to do [B]ANYTHING[/B] without them knowing about it. And they are frighteningly close to achieving this ultimate goal. I don't know why they keep pecking around the edges of the constitution and just slap ankle bracelets on everyone in the country. The old Stasi guys who got tarred and feathered when the Berlin wall came down must be green with envy over the shit going on in the "Land of the Free". Hell, they probably all just moved here to continue "zee project", financed by [b]YOUR[/b] tax dollars of course.

Well, he deserved to get caught, and I hope someone with AIDS is fucking him in the ass even as we converse. But that aside. He probably did not know that the EXIF info on the .jpg file contained a thumbnail pic of him, which was NOT edited by whatever photo manipulation software he used to fuzz out his face. If he had known this, he could have cleaned the file with Jhead or Irfanview, and Uncle Leo would still be choking their chickens waiting for him to walk into the police station, cuff himself to a radiator and start confessing to shit.

So, you guys all go out and get yourself a copy of Jhead so you can check out all the cool stuff embedded in the files everyone is posting. It's simple as shit to install, it's old school command line software so us DOS dinosaurs will take to it like a duck to water. You can run it from a batch file and output all the info from a bunch of .jpg files all at once.

If you are one of the mouse-clickie types, get Irfanview and the plug-in for manipulating the EXIF information. Might as well get all the plug-ins while you are at it, there are a slew of them.

The funny thing is, what got folks looking for ways to view and manipulate hidden info on JPEG files is that it takes up a lot of space and bandwidth. Cleaning up the headers on JPEG files will reduce the amount of space they take up on servers and the bandwidth they hog by as much as 50%. Yeah, we are all used to infinite storage space but it is just good form to strip all that crap off the files. Perhaps Jackson can enlist the assistance of folks on this board to go through all the photos and clean up the headers. It would no doubt free up a shitload of disc space on the server he so graciously leases.

Hey, I'm a f'ing Luddite and use a 35mm. When I get film developed I just get a CD burned for $2. Now, I need to Jhead the files and see what sort of juicy tidbits are in the headers.

But thinking about it, except some blue-nose in the photo lab would probably take exception to it, why not use a 35mm for all monger pix and drop it off at Wally's using a bogus name, address, ect and have it burned to CD for $2. That cleans it of the header info and the "digital fingerprint" all at once. Let 'em anaylze that one and see where the trail goes cold.

Of course, a blister-packed cheapo digital camera at afore mentioned Wally's paid for with cash would do the same thing in a less Rube Goldbergish fashion.
