Somtimes, things can be deceiving intown. Like Wax and Gold rush are in bad areas, but they have security guards in the parking lot. The AA strippers will give me a shit sometimes because I'm always getting dances from the latinas. I think the main thing w / V or a place like Pink Pony (in the outer part of the parking lot) is have your head on a swivel in the parking lot after dark. I haven't seen any security in the parking lot at V. Those 2 parking lots have some dark areas. Tattletales is a Buckhead man's playground, but that area of Piedmont can be really sketchy at some of the convenient stores. I would say dark parking lots and to a lesser degree be careful at convenient stores in town at night. Generally there is more crime in town in the nicer gentrified areas like Midtown and Brookhaven because of their proximity to bad areas and criminals know a lot of people have $ in those areas. V is still sort of in an industrial area. I don't generally see many people walking around. If you go further up to Atlanta road don't let that corner where the Racetrac is fool you. They gentrified the hell out of that area, but still sketchy. I want to check out Blue Flame, but have to scout it out and see what the parking lot situation is like. That little area right at 285 and Veterans is not a place to be hanging out on the street after dark. Lot of really aggressive homeless people.

My experience has been a few kinds of guys. Guys sitting back smoking hookahs and chilling; they aren't usually social. Mongers going in to go to VIP; we are too busy to talk to any dudes. Few make it rain type guys. Then the pimps and dealers. I haven't had any interaction with them. The pimps don't seem to have any authority over the latinas I hang out with.

Took my $160, tossed my wallet on the floor. He was sitting next to keep and picked my jacket pocket while I got a dance from a Latina. He was sitting all night, no dances. Someone found my wallet, brought it to DJ. He swiped my cash and threw my condom on the ground. I was so pissed because the security wouldn't do anything because it wasn't 100% clear on camera. The epiphany I had was after I got picked and shamefully returned to the bar. The same guy was all of a sudden paying for dances with that Latina, and told me "you dropped your condom" which he only would have know after swiping my wallet. That still pisses me off.

As for V, use best judgment like others wrote. Day shift is chill, it's mostly college bros, Latino landscapers, the mongers, some retirees, local west / south ATL crowd there to just hangout. Night time is higher risk, shifts more towards "nightclub" than "strip club". As a night club its pretty trashy (broken toilet for weeks) but it's relatively cheap so rougher local elements can post up. I'm as mild mannered as they come and even on Monday nights I'll get the deepest, hardest frisk pat down. The drug dealers eventually warmed up to me (not to buy), but they used to think I was law enforcement because my favorite spot to scope out is the couch alley by the bathroom. The pimps I just stay off their "property" both their couch and their girls. When the Latinas start to leave that's my sign that it's getting too sketchy. I've had a couple tell me that they're more likely to get harassed by the night time clubbers trying to flex.

If you're good at deescalating situations, being aware of your surroundings and you're respectful stay til12:30 but no real reason to stay later than that if you're alone. You can also just use simple logic by asking yourself "Do I feel comfortable driving in this location at that time?" Also Vivide only advertises as a strip club from 12-9 pm.

There has been many shootings at Cheetah which is viewed as a high end strip club. Just use common sense really.

I carry in a small 3 zippered pouch that has my cash, bluechews, condoms, etc. I had it swiped one time but I blame myself. I accidently sat in the drug dealers seat and he was emphatic I move. Not sure if I left it or what. It also had my car keys in it but no fob. It was found later with the cash gone by the lot attendant. But I blame myself for not maintaining positive control over it. Those things can happen anywhere and any time.

I also get overwhelmed by the girls when I sit in the main floor. Some Latinas tell me they don't like the pimps, so pimp couch is actually helpful at times for me. As pimps though, I don't think they bring in enough quality talent.

The dealers by the bathroom. There is one friend of theirs who when is high will bother me. It started funny bc they thought I was a guy they knew from Follies (I've never been to Follies), but now a third of my visits the high friend will tell me I owe him him money from Follies, in a red flag way. I just leave that corner immediately or hang out upstairs. But I can see how someone could make that scenario very bad if negligent.

The entire place is fully let and pretty wide open layout with the couches. Whenever I see other guys getting dances its either just a standard 50/50 dance because of the way the couches are elevated, or straight up air dance. What am I missing? Do I need to stay upstairs?

I've never tried to look closely enough to see who might be dealing and I've never notice anyone pimping.

Will someone tell me where they think the pimps hang out? When you go down the stairs the bar is across the room and a little to the left. There is a row of couches to the right of the bar. I can't remember how many but I think there are several. That's where I usually sit. Is that where you all are talking about? What is the far left side of the room like?

I've been to a lot of sketchy clubs all across the US and have never had a real problem with anyone. The closest I came was at Follie's a year or so before they closed. I was leaving and walking through the crowd and I bumped into a guy standing near the rail between the bar and the front door. I really think he turned as I was walking by but I knocked his beer out of his hand. He looked at me all pissed and said something in Spanish and his buddy looked like he was about to take a swing. I apologized, bought two beers, and handed them to him. He nodded a thank you. Problem solved for $10 or $15 including a tip at the bar. I had probably spent $600 to $700 before that so it meant nothing to me. If you look and act like a pussy I guess you might get treated like one. And if you can't deescalate a situation then you might learn a hard lesson at some of these places we discuss.

You sound a lot like someone who has been kicked off a few times but that is just a hunch. I have been advised by several dancers, some of whom I have met outside the club to be wary of them. You can blame my 30+ years with the Army for being cautious, otherwise. To each their own.

Then there's the sky box at the top of the stairwell. And then the corner room by the floor fan upstairs. Essentially 60% of upstairs or the DJ aisle.

Sometimes it's subtle, othertimes it's blatant because there'll be 4 or 5 guys just sitting on the couch staring onto the floor. Not often dances, or if they do there's no money exchange, or the more obvious girls coming up to them to report.
