I've called providers before and never tried this approach. I usually do the same thing this guy did just say ok well thanks and hang up. I've wanted. To ask before but I'm usually afraid to ask too many questions over the phone of fear they will think I'm LE. In the past when I've asked questions over the phone regarding services it seems like their attitude changes instantly. Next time I'm quoted an outrageous price I think I will try your approach. It wouldn't hurt considering I probably will pass anyways.
