I don't believe he was trying to add credence in something because of that. Just adding to the previous posters statement that his uncles served in ww2. Speaking of ww2 nazis used the same techniques they would chastise any opposing views. They would also use violence. That way no one would dare speak out for fear of them being bullied and mistreated. Much like here on the forum by a few people. The verbal abuse due to a different viewpoint.
