Let's see. I was never a huge fan of Oasis. But I last went in 2017 ish and I was comparing it to follies.
Wasn't Oasis a predominately white club?
That sounds crazy. I guess they will be headed to Miami for a few weeks. There's no way Blaze can accommodate that many dancers influx. It will be interesting.
When Pinups starting making changes to policy and layout some months back, a lot of girls working at that time left the club. Very few of them went to Blaze and they didn't go back to Pinups after things calmed down a bit.
I could see a few of the current girls going, if it's just going to be temporary.

I haven't been to pinups in a few months now because it just didn't seem to be worth the drive as far as bang for your buck. Is it going to be better or worse for fast songs, air dances, etc etc or will it be going back to old pinups when you used to leave feeling like you got your moneys worth?

Back From the Dead
Wow, never heard of a club coming back from the dead before.
Predict a short lived train wreck on this endeavor. Visited both clubs several times and there is no intersection of customers, dancers, management style, or customer expectations between these two clubs. Is the white good ol boy crowd from OTP going to drive down through the fringes of the hood to visit the AA dancers or newly hired white dancers? Or is the new management team going to learn how to manage in a completely different culture to provide the local customer base a good experience? Unlike Oasis, the new club will have to serve Cognac and encourage dancers to get nude and deliver some decent mileage (most recent dancers won't need any direction on this). Oasis was miserable for mileage. Lets hope that's all left behind since an air dance club at the Pin Ups location won't be a popular destination.

I lived in Decatur and had no idea that it was right next to that nice new Publix, lots of old Decatur money goes there so maybe it's not a stigma of being too hood. Tattlestales, Pink Pony are about 20-25 min west so depending origin they could steal customers IF they make a better product, so it can't be PP air dances or not premium priced guarantee like TT. I doubt they'll pull Vivide crowd, being on the opposite side of city. Plus V seems to benefit from being slightly out of sight out of mind. I feel like old Decatur will be on them like a hawk, but Oasis knows the extras game & considering this high risk investment they must know they can't fuck it up early.
Being in north Brookhaven, I have high hopes for this renewal. V is my favorite but it's a pain in the ass to drive through ATL traffic.
To survive they need to beat the other clubs offerings:
1) Prices: $10 dances, $20 max. Free parking, can just park Publix lot. Drinks, I stick to soda. VIP needs to be less than V, so $260/30 min max.
2) Talent: Quality girls of all looks. Otherwise you just go to a black club, V for Latinas / AAs, TT / PP for whites.
3) Gratuity: Hands on dances right off the bat like V. Not this multiple visit courting like PP.
4) Relaxed culture: At V, I can relax bc mostly all the girls know the deal and management is openly ok with it. Unlike the buzz kill TT dj who yells no touching every 10 min.
5) Hours: I heard it's 7 days so great, but they should push the quality of night shift. V sucks after 8 pm, TT can be dead some nights, and PP has a lot customer competition at night.

Otherwise, they'd come up with a different name entirely, like Vivide.
While Pinups wasn't as much fun as it used to be, I still had a couple chicks here that made it worth coming out. Another $5 spot gone. RIP. Wax and Blaze probably on borrowed time also.

With what customer base?

I honestly can't see Pinups changing much because their price structure is already at a premium, but wax and blaze are already bleeding customers because of overhead costs. Wax is basically poor mans vivide, going there for only dances doesn't make much sense with the parking, door, and alcohol prices. Wax doesn't have the type of girls that can demand 10 dollar lapdances let alone air dances at any price. If anything, Blaze will absorb 5 dollar pinups girls and get a little bit better.
But this economy can't support any more make it rain clubs.

Change on the southside
On the other side of Old Nat there was a hole in the wall club called Knockouts. They started having dancers on poker nights which turned into almost every night. It was amateur dancers and was DO heaven. Me and a few other members on the board definitely have utilized the dark areas of the place. And judge me if you want but I've had plenty of BBFSCIP for very decent prices in this spot. It's not what you do it's how you do it. However recently they have closed down, renovated, and changed the name to temperature restaurant and lounge (TRL). From the looks of it they went the overhyped atlanta vibe route. Tons of pretty young waitresses, overpriced hooka, and more of a club atmosphere. The new dancers I saw online were more saddity type dancers. I.
Going to check the new spot out and keep you guys posted.

A Visit to Vivide
I got there around 4 today and was, as usually, grabbed by the 40-something DR chick with bolt-ons and loves to give massages. After letting her give me 4 dances I had an AA spinner from Chicago, second time she danced for me and damn she is sexy ASF. She had Jr out and sliding all over her pussy, I thought for a minute there that she might stick it in but alas, no. Then another AA spinner who claimed to be drunk but not so drunk that she tried to scam me on dances as she did not count but I did. When the 3rd song started I said this is 3, right? She said no, this is 5. I said we are done gave her 2 Hamiltons and told her to shove off. Then a Cuban I have had several times who is a bit chunky but speaks enough English to converse and she also had him out. When she wasn't looking I unbuttoned my pants and made her think it was her dancing. She also did some good sliding. All in all, a good visit.

Seems like it's too open to do these things, but I'm not a regular there to know the good seats.

I'm a little surprised by all of this oasis dislike. I'm not a lap dance out in the open guy, but I will agree that there was a lot of air dancing happened. I just never had a problem getting some pussy there. I even got my bucket list item of sex in VIP card punched there. There are plenty of girls that would fuck for money, or free, there.
I agree that if they go in and completely change pinups, that the current customer base is out of there. I also agree that it is not guaranteed that they can attract their old crowd. I do know all of the oasis dancers are talking about this amongst each other.
As I understand the market, there is pp, cheetah, and tattletales and that is it for the predominantly white clubs in atl. I do think there is room for another. Like you guys, I'm not sure that people will drive to the new location. I've been surprised before by the marketplace. We'll see what happens.

Where did I sit?
Right next to where they girls dressing rooms are. If they know how to hide it, it is quite easy. I have gotten DO dances all over the club EXCEPT next to the DJ. Barry doesn't care but apparently, there were a couple of other managers there yesterday so the girls were careful to put it away and hide it when they came around.
Also, no pimps yesterday. Weird. Drug Dealer was there as usual.

Low Mileage

.
The dislike comes from the low mileage and the lack of dancer diversity for me. When I finally found one decent looking AA that was eager to please the manager said the best spot for my dances was standing against the wall with no chair to sit in even though there were 10 empty tables (reserved for later). I'm sure the arrogant prick could have found a chair somewhere in the club for me but he did not. I'm white, elderly, dress decent, and had ample funds to obtain whatever dances I desired. I got the vibe of club real quick. It was a place for regulars. It reminded me of Cheers. Not a hostile environment and nothing wrong with the patrons but the no place to sit or air dances on the occasions that I was seated left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm sure a regular could get laid with the right amount of interaction but I don't drive 2. 5 hours to get air dances with white women. We have plenty of sloppy white women with bad tattoos and drug habits in SC. No need to travel to see that. And yes, there were some decent looking women in the club. Just really despise the place. Sorry for the regulars, but I didn't bat an eye when it closed. Some of the dancers showed up at Vivide which lasted about a week before they had all departed as they were just taking up space. No, I don't see a fit for then with the Pin Ups customer base but it's going to be fun to see how things go (well I hope. The more good clubs the better).

As mentioned, there seems to be a high demand for strip clubs that cater to the caucasian market. I am a white bro and lot of my fellow compadres won't go to Vivide, Goldrush, or Wax. TT prices are too inflated; PP is only air dances, and Cheetah was just a high dollar hustle for me. Hopefully the make a good run because Atlanta seems to be the only city in the Southeast with any decent strip club scene.
