The scanning of drivers licenses take it to a whole other level. I don't know why but this reminds me of the 1979 Dom DeLuise and Jerry Reed movie "Hot Stuff". Where the cops "take over" a pawn shop to catch all the bad guys. When they get there, they fix it all up and start keeping records of who comes in the by writing down the names of the patrons and also are secretly taking video of those that patronize the pawn shop. The parallel of the "Geneva" sprucing up, taking videos (via security cameras) and now scanning Drivers Licenses is too funny.

When I think of the Geneva getting their Car Tag and DL info, I think of the two scenes in the movie. One, when a guy asks why they started writing down everyone's name, they reply because that's why it's called "Organized" Crime implying they run the shop for the mob. Then when the same guy comes back later with more hot stuff and LEO gets the video camera kinks they were having worked out, the less-than-bright man isn't quite looking at the camera cleanly so Jerry Reed grabs the man's head turns and twists it to the position where his face perfectly fits in frame and holds it there. That's what it's like when handing them the license to be scanned. LOL.

I use the Geneva but haven't been since under new ownership. I think the Sands looks more promising even though I really don't like its location.
