In all my years of traveling for work and vacations I have never once had a hotel clerk ask me why I was at the hotel. And the few times I was at a hotel to see someone was no different. Head down, straight to the elevator and to the room. If for whatever reason they are playing games and give the wrong room number # then make your exit down the stairs and out a side door.

I agree. I never had an issue myself. There is NO way they know if you have a room there or not. You could have checked in on another shift. If you really get pushed on it I guess you could say you are visiting a friend from out of town. Just walk in there as you belong there. If you act suspicious then you will be a suspect.

Totally agree with you. I have limited time and funds to play and I don't play games. If I say I am coming I am coming and I expect the same from them.
