The smaller-time owners struggle to find tenants in many of these places. They will continue to rent out to massage places. They are good overall tenants, alway pay on time and usually no trouble. Most of the long time owners will be able to read between the line, its a stunt by the interim city prosecutor both to fluff up their image to voters and to take focus off their own wrong doing. It will blow over.

The mom and pop owners can't afford it either, especially if the gov't decides to commence asset forfeiture proceedings. Hawaii asset forfeiture laws are some of the most lax and the country and the only way to fight it is with lawyers, and that is costly. You should know, as you live in CC, that Reid is always looking at the arrest logs. If there is an arrest on property for prostitution, the owner will get a letter from building management very quickly.
