Here's some advanced level strategy that you can try, but just know it takes a lot of experience and the ability to read people over text to navigate and guide a conversation into these beats, but I've successfully done it before.

Usually during the first date I'll bring up at some point how busy work is. They'll ask what I do, I tell them something that's in the ball park but not exactly what I do and mention I do have to travel a lot for work.
Generally if I've seen them 2-3 times when I tell them "Hey I can't come by this week work is sending me to XYZ" they're fine with it. Now, I don't usually do that until I've seen them at least a few times, as at that point they like me enough that it won't matter.
