If you need a cover for your activities think about fishing. Familiarize yourself with the species telling someone you caught a trash fish or two is much more believable then how you had a monster snook or gator trout break your line. Saltwater Catfish are nasty and slimy, the slime will get all over the last foot or two of your line, ladyfish jump like crazy when hooked and break the line often. Stop by Gandy Bait shop, pick up a dozen small shrimp or something, get some shrimp smell on you, it'll mix in with the *ahem* fish smell perhaps and provide cover. Naturally toss the shrimp (perhaps leaving one in your cheap shrimp bucket for effect).

Hell to pull it off, go fishing at least once while visiting and perhaps you'll find some spots for other activities as well. I think you can still fish off of parts of the old Gandy bridge. Scope it out or ask at the Tackle store.

There used to be some GOOD action there but it appears to be gone now. An easier cover if you're just trying to cover for smell and don't need to cover for time is to go fill up the car and "accidentally" spill some gasoline on yourself.
