You could open a mongering credit card. Something small with low limit on it. And set it up for online bill pay. Which would prevent a cc bill showing at the house. Have a mongering email account for it.

Make sure to have a mongering cell phone. And have it as the contact # for the cc.

Typically, I have seen Red Roofs, Super 8, Motel 6, etc., take cash payment if they have vacancies. No need to use a card.

Well fellas, I have to say things were going well and I was getting some good ideas. Until I read Mtl Pig's post! LOL! It's like the Debbie Downer of mongering. Just kidding man. I understand what you're saying and it's all a good point. I do think you're right. With cheating and/or mongering, if you do it long enough you're going to get caught. And it will suck when you do. Ugh.

Other than that, it seems like the pre-paid CC is the way to go. Seems like that will leave the least paper trail, yet still be enough for the hotel. I also like the idea of asking the provider to cover that arrangement then compensate her for the cost and trouble. That would really be the best situation, but I guess that will be on a case by case basis.

Yeah, the smoke. I don't think smokers realize how that smell permeates everything from their hair to their skin not to mention their clothing. It takes a strong cologne or perfume to mask that wet-ashtray smell from a non-smoker.

Go to Walgreens/Walmart and buy a gift card. You can get a visa or american express[I doubt they take that one] and go do some scouting for some little out of the way places off the stroll trail-there are plenty of them-just takes a little prep work. Travelers checks could work. Call in front and ask-just don't leave them around.

I co-opted the local no-tell owner in my adventures. Using a monger credit card, I get a new one every few months, obstensively for online shopping (low credit limit cards, always with online billing) when I retire one from 'online sevice' it becomes a monger card.

Pay cash, offer your monger card for the security, make sure you are paying for two in the room, it's only an extra fiver most places. Don't try to chisel Apu; he knows what your up to, back home in Mumbai guys who can afford some on the side, get some on the side, no big deal. Throw him a little extra, if it's 42.50, give him 50 and don't sweat it. Ask for a "nice" room. Once you and your lady friend are done, drop the key at the front desk-that way if need be he can turn that room again. Never consent to a girl holding onto the room after finishing with you, potential trouble for you and for Apu.

After the second or third visit he'll be considering you an asset. Probably stop asking for your monger card, won't bother to take your info-(he doesn't want to report any income he can avoid).

Why you may not have much luck with a provider covering the room.

If it is your first time with her, she does not know if you are good for the room.

NOTE: According to a few providers, the reason they request YOU get the room is due to Metro's brilliant LEO. They go by hotels monthly and supply a list of known provider's information, so the Hotel won't rent them a room. (verified by 3 providers.)

It also puts the hotel on notice, if they have a few of the providers in their hotel and Metro finds out, they will be facing a "nuisance" charge. Which can be used to shut the hotel.

Spankin is spot on. (pun intended) Just remember: Do NOT get comfortable in your pattern if you are married.

That is true. It counts as an enquiry against your credit report. I currently have three of them on my credit report which dropped my FICO score by 20 points.

Not to mention with the credit report, if some company queries your credit and sends you a unsolicited form for a credit card, that too can be counted against you.

Had a friend get hit with 4 of those in a month and knocked her ability to get a school loan in time for the first day.

So, see if they take the pre-paid debit as a hold and then pay cash.

Follow Spankin's advice and get a place that won't ask questions and wants your biz.

Be careful and pay attention.

I do believe it is her, based on how she talked to me and some things we talked about. She knew Paige when she was working on 8th avenue and I think they are working together again. She was going to leave around 6:30 today and I cannot get there be then but if anyone sees her, let us know about her. She had the sweetest twat and a mouth like a hoover. I hope we have rediscovered a gem.
