I use my credit card to pay all my normal expenses every month, and pay off the card every month, then use the points to book rooms for SB dates (I don't tell the SB that, I use the fact that I'm "paying" for a room to negotiate a lower price if they don't host).

The hotels near the airport have "Dayuse" rates that are sometimes a little cheaper than an overnight rate and can be booked before earlier than the normal checkin time of 3pm. If you frequent the same hotel enough, you can sometimes earn rewards points through them (I tend to stick with Choice hotels as they are budget friendly but I know the guys who travel a ton for work use their Hilton or Marriot reward points for fun).

My advice with a new girl is to NEVER book a hotel room before you have the girl standing in front of you. Best bet is to setup a meet and greet and meet them for coffee or a drink somewhere. Once they show up, get to know each other, then ask if she's comfortable going somewhere private. If yes, THEN you're usually good to book the room and take them there. For the really efficient you can try and schedule the drink at a hotel bar, then just book a room from your phone before going to check in, though the hotels I tend to use (cheaper) don't usually have bars in them.
