Does anyone remember The Purple Onion? I think it was on auburn ave might have been Stewart ave. Way back in 85 it was the first strip club I ever went to. A friend of a friend took me. Walked in and I was the only white face their. A very large bouncer walked over to me and said. You are the dumbest or craziest white boy ever but you can stay. Had a great time.
So like I was asking earlier does anyone where the spots Maia usually hangs out at?

The flick is Really Really pimpin in the south, this is the best link I could find. I remember those days I actually knocked off one of the girls in the video. She worked at club nikki's & would go across the street to chocolate city bowling alley parking lot & trick. Stewart ave. Use to be jumping, Gary's motel, the Alamo, Crystal Palace nothing but pussy walking around.

The Chocolate City parking lot was quite a scene with dozens of scantily clad girls parading around and cars would be backed up trying to making that turn onto the side street just to check out the girls. Nikki's was a good time until the owner tried to burn down a rival's club, maybe it was gold rush or magic city. I can't recall but everything went on at that club. Hard to imagine that it was so open back then but those were different times.

Club Nikki's owner burned down the original Bodytap that was right next to 85 south. That club was taking dancers & customers from Nikki's, IMHO it was the best strip club on Stewart ave at that time. You could go there at 2 in the afternoon & the parking lot would be packed. The Bodytap ended up moving to Marietta blvd but it was never the same.

The only reason Nikki's was able to get away with so much stuff for so long was that the owner was well connected in City Hall. It's funny tho when first hit Metropolitan Pkwy back then I was like where is Stewart Avenue not knowing I was already on Stewart Avenue but later found out they had change the name to Metropolitan Pkwy LOL.
Rode through a little after 7 pm wasn't any SW out around Strip Clubs or Wendell and LE was at every gas station so I left and came back when it got dark. So when I came back after 8:30 pm or so still nothing on Wendell but when I went by the strip clubs I saw Star standing behind Ace or Clubs by the Chruch wearing a short shirt and she didn't look high. I would have made the pickup but Le was right around the corner and Coronavirus paranoia got the best of me so I didn't stop. I rode around one more time still nothing so I left especially since Le all over the place.
I think once the Clubs open back up things might pick up but it may be Summer before that happens or longer.
