I have to say, I hope that her sudden demise was not the result of any long-term illness caused by the hobby. I worry because she had many clients and I know she was not into using protection. It's a risky game as we all know. It's fairly unusual for a 51-year old (non-obese, non-smoker) to drop dead of a heart attack. Did she have a drinking problem or anything that would help explain this? Or was it truly just one of those random things where she was genetically unlucky?

Also, she was clearly overweight and I wouldn't be surprised if she was technically obese. Visceral fat, or apple shaped people like she was, is a risk for heart issues. To answer your question, she always wanted to drink with me but she seemed like a light weight or had a normal tolerance for alcohol so I never got the impression she was an alcoholic.

She always used protection as far as I was concerned. No, she didn't have a drinking problem. I gave her a bottle of wine last spring and when I next visited I noticed she hardly touched it. Never once had I visited her had she been drinking. Never a sign of drug abuse. That wasn't her thing.

What she did have was low BP. I'd noticed a few times last year she was forgetful, and she had tripped and fell during the summer and spent a couple days in the hospital because she had hit her head. But I'd never heard that low BP could lead to a heart attack. Doing a lookup on that just now I found results that would seem to bear that out.

I happen to know that a few years earlier she'd work out at the Mt. Prospect RecPlex. If I was a betting man, I would have bet Sylvia would have made it to her 80's. That's why I'm shocked, and sad.

Which leads me to believe no one close to her provided a picture. I'm kicking myself that I asked for a picture of her.

I think she would really have been touched out of all of us feeling so bad about her passing.

I should have clarified to say that her photos shouldn't be posted publicly and instead be sent privately, that is the spirit of this board after all.

Like everyone else, I was shocked to hear of Sylvia's passing last week. We enjoyed many good times together and I will miss her. I last saw her a few days before the heart attack. She was upbeat and in a good mood and there was no foretelling of anything going on health wise. She always talked about walking around the lake, going to the gym, working at the restaurant or going to the nursing home.

Alot has been said here, good and some so-so. I only remember the good. May she rest in peace.

This is a delayed report from a couple of weeks ago. Have never experienced MT so dropped by one afternoon at about 2:30. They were too busy and told me to come back.
