I realise this is from Seattle.
But worth a read.

You could have sent me a PM
How many emails and requests do I have to send to get myself deleted from this site? REMOVE MY NAME AND ALL MY POSTS NOW! Guys in Seattle got busted for using ReviewBoard for Promoting Prostitution. For God's sakes guys please report me to the moderator so he can kick me off and remove all my reviews. I am NOT willing to risk my freedom for a bunch of Street ****** masquerading as escorts in our local hotel / motels! Should I list the names and addresses of every single one of these prostitutes. Is that what it is going to take?
[BLUE]Just PM, Admin2, I answer all of them. Before you freak out though let me ask you a couple questions
1. Have you become involved in the running of this site?
2. Did you form a club and meet with the other guys who manage this site?
3. Did you get involved in the business dealings of the woman who are working on this site?
I know the answers to 1 and 2 are no and I'm guessing 3 is no as well.
The guys in Seattle didn't get busted for writing reviews, they made a club, they met in reality, then they got involved with the chicks. Through that they introduced an undercover police officer into their business and that is what got them busted because and this is really important, they did their business in the USA.
At the USASG, our server is in Germany and we are in South America it's not the same thing at all. Who is Rjinstpete? Have I met you? Could I pick you out if you were standing in front of me? They won't find you from our site. Why? Because we don't have any idea who you are and this idea that they would somehow find you from us is ridiculous. How would they do that? Oh I know, IP addresses right? Wrong, we don't log them.
Now, if you want to leave the site then use the contact us link and request to have your user retired. We won't delete the posts, we don't do that. We don't do it for a reason, because every time you were quoted would still be there.
You're running from something that can't catch you.

As the wildly unbelievable, and most likely fictional, legend goes, once upon a time, there was a (locally) renowned Review Board, similar to this, that was run by a single highly discreet and remarkably diligent NON-Hobbyist guy. We called him 'Scorp', and his 'guide' served the local area well. After many years, this single highly discreet and remarkably diligent fellow grew weary of the day-to-day demands of running the board and, essentially, sold-out to a number of local Hobbyists with time, resources, and skills to maintain the board. Things changed almost immediately with actual Hobbyists running the board. Suddenly, the board owners were organizing and sponsoring Meet-And-Greets (with Hobbyists and Providers) at local public venues, like bars, bowling alleys, parks, etc. , where the "rules" ostensibly were clearly laid out that NO BUSINESS was to be conducted at the event, not even arrangement of future personal private encounters. Such gatherings had occurred previously, but only ever organized by independent members with no affiliation with the board itself.
As one may imagine, these board sponsored Meet-And-Greets got bigger, more frequent, and a lot LESS discrete, and those "rules" started to be abused on a regular basis. Over time, there was a name change, due to a separate unfortunate event surrounding one of the female providers that also managed the board, then there was a "split" into a two, fairly equally useful, boards, but the board sponsored Meet-And-Greets continued to grow. At one such board sponsored event, one of the gents brought an under-aged female, who was perfectly willing to be there and eagerly anticipating the expected encounters, all for her own personal profit. However, as luck would have it, somehow her female parent became aware and reported the entire event in her filed complaint with local LE.
There was fallout. Suffice it to say, the board was shut down, board owners were treated to the theater of their local courthouse and offered the hospitality of local civic and state-run institutions of confinement. Sometimes people are careless, sometimes they're just stupid, sometimes they're both!

And a stray, random information tidbit is that the West Bloomfield address in the metropolitan Detroit area is one of the most expensive and posh communities in the area. . . Just in case anyone thought that might be interesting. "Stupid" knows no economic boundaries.
