I am willing to help in planning but I do not have the time to actually plan it out. I do think it is a wonderful idea. There is nothing wrong with a group of adults meeting for drinks or dinner in private setting. Those that are uncomfortable with it don't have to partake in the gathering.

Ok, I've been reading about this meet and great. I rarely post but thought I'd say a few things. First, if you are married and have a family that you actually care about, not a chance should you be going. Second, if you are single or separated, then no big deal. We all are taking chance in this hobby but take precautions. What I mean by that is, take a taxi not your car, don't pose for pictures on your iPhone. The reality is, you never know what your future will bring you and this digital age you never know. If you run into your boss, that's actually a good thing. A raise will be coming. LOL. Just don't be the boss getting caught. We all know our uncle is on this board so its safe to say they will be there unless one of our lovely girls can verify them personally. I mean not heard he was with someone or they are a senior member, but actually " yes I gave him a headache relief or first hand knowledge of FS. " Just my thoughts ladies and gentleman. Maybe people should ad other thoughts and guidelines to this.

Think uncle is not looking and this and rubbing his hands in anticipation, think again! Three years ago there was a similar meet, and uncle was supposedly not present. Back then the political pressure was already building up, but after 2013 it is at an all time high. Now 2014, an election year, any sting that nets providers and a host of mongers in one convenient location is too good to pass up and whatever county nets this gets a free pass at GO. Yes we can argue until we all turn blue that there is nothing wrong with a bunch of adults meeting for a few drinks, especially if there is no frisky stuff going on. But this is the LEO that arrests people, parades them on camera, and then drop the charges. They need the publicity, and love to humiliate those they know partake in the hobby, but do not posses the evidence to make the charges stick. Think the Brady Bunch will care?

At the very least they will be watching from afar (which may have been the M. O. Three years ago) and then slowly build rap sheets, and gather evidence.

With this in mind three good requirements should be:

1. Any monger invited should be vetted by one SP who met him, this should be a definite requirement for such an event, and to ignore it is to open the door for uncle.

2. Same goes from SP, in other words none of the CL, or BP, one time ad, fake pic wonders.

3. Never discuss location in open forum, only passing the final location via pm, or email.

So be safe, and remember that if it feels wrong, then it is. Better to miss out on a good time than to get a pair of tax payer paid orange coveralls.
