Here are some interesting sites to experiment with face merging.
Dude! This is like being in the Marines! If one thing doesn't work ADAPT!
If you think you are getting turned down because you won't share a face picture. GET A FACE PICTURE!
Find some page of models and look through the dudes until you find someone that looks like you! As long as you don't send them a picture of George Clooney when you look like George Kastanza, most SBs are willing to over look the difference when you meet: especially if you tell them you have sensitive job or something and need to stay private.
If you think you need something closer to you than that, the get the picture as noted above and use one of those "merge images" apps or programs to create a new composite that looks enough like you to be recognizable when she meets.
There are a million ways to work things, but you just need to be flexible & adapt.

Thanks Jeez, good to know about checking guest IDs (that's my job, LOL). As you can probably tell, I don't travel much and this hotel booking thing has me a little bamboozled. My plan is to do a M&G and if everything checks out, to set up a hotel / motel meet for later that day or maybe another day. My dilemma is that I don't know if she's going to flake out or not, and if I try to book last minute, a lot of my preferred hotels, at least in my area, are going to be booked solid (per Hotels. Com, and if I choose the "cencellable" rate, it goes over my $100/ night budget.
Get hotel tonight app. You can get list of hotels with last minute avail abilities a nd usually price is cheaper than regular booking too. Have used it during meet and greets that were going well and worked out great.

Good Advice
After you take that selfie, BE SURE to go through it and take out all the EXIF data. That will, if you use a smart phone, tell exactly (address) where it was taken, by GPS (and that's not golden pussy syndrome, but the original GPS), maybe other info that's on your phone (name, etc.). There is supposed to be some cleanup of photos on sites like SA, but it is not guaranteed, and you are likely going to email the photo directly to her. You don't want her getting your identity from the initial pic, before you get POF.
That is some solid advice. I think even digital cameras leave some identifying info as well.
Now a question. Usually what I do with photos is open them in something like Paint. Then I crop or select a portion of the picture and cope it. Then I paste that copied portion of the picture into a new picture. That second picture is what gets sent. Does this process effectively remove any EXIF, GPS or other identifying data?

I only know OSX; if you open the photo with Preview and do command-I, you get to see the actual EXIF data. So you will exactly know. What I have done is take the photo through file formats that don't have EXIF data. Converted a JPG to a PDF, for example, and then back to something else. My sugar photo is of a well-known sportsman (in my favorite sport, anyway) who people have told me I resemble, downloaded, cropped to the nose. And there was all kinds of EXIF data. Who shot it, where, when, etc. I got rid of all that in this way.
ISpokeo is good with email addresses and also has a arrest record option (though they don't tell you the nature of the offense) and Intellius's specialty is finding individuals and their relatives, addresses, birth date, etc).
There is some Federal law or regulation out there that requires states to make arrest record information publicly available. In the areas where I operate that information is available on line: get to the appropriate website, type in "participant's name" and once can get a case summary or docket sheet. In that one can see arrest info. I think that is important as one is dealing with young people who often make mistakes. That doesn't mean an arrest record is always bad. Sometimes someone gets mouthy and get arrested for FU-ing LE. Sometimes it is paraphernalia (pipe) or MaryJane. Neither of those would disqualify a girl for me. However, if she was nicked for stealing or prostitution. That might be something I'd ask about.
Maybe some one else knows the Federal law or regulation and can speak better about the specifics.

Approaches to that?

Sans that, you will have to assess her seriousness, and only send a real face pic when you have screened her enough. I think for most girls, they just want to see that you aren't gross or disgusting. Don't need to be a model. If you take this approach, take a separate picture of yourself, one that you use no where else! (not on FB or any social media) Shoot if you are paranoid, go try on clothes that are definitely NOT you, and take a selfie in the changing room. If you want to mask your eyes with sunglasses, don't use the pair you wear every day. Get some $1 cheapos or "try some on" at a store.
There are a million ways to work things, but you just need to be flexible & adapt.
There are, and I know the ways around it. However, I prefer to keep dishonesty on my part minimal and mostly towards indirection and fogging. Two encounters ar my first where a face pic became an issue to this degree. Improvise, adapt and overcome is my motto. I appreciate feedback however.

Searching arrest records
Maybe some one else knows the Federal law or regulation and can speak better about the specifics.
All arrest records and disposition are available through your state and local court system website.
BUT -- you have to know their real name and the jurisdiction in which they live to accurately search. This does not prevent them from having committed a crime in another part of the state and moved to their current location so a jurisdiction search won't help.
I think the issue is that a nationwide search of all local jurisdictions is only available through the commercial services that have created some kind of program to do it all for you -- hence the hefty fee.
IN one case, with just a first name and jurisdiction, I was able to find a few likely people for whom I was searching. I then googled those names and the juridiction name and found a website showing their mugshots and was able to I'd the gal in question.
Takes work, esepcially if you have limited info.

Yes, beware the hotel TV
Many months back, someone suggested that many hotels list the reserving guests name on the welcome screen of the TV, and that girls sometimes check this to find out I'd. I had never seen it personally, and since that post I have been keeping an eye out for it by trying to quickly check these channels upon checking-in, and still haven't seen it.
For those who have seen this, have you noticed it at a specific hotel brand? If you can identify which ones, it would be a useful tip for the board.
If I ever do see it, I will likely disconnect the TV and claim it doesn't work and / or put it on a channel I want and hide the remote. Keeping a laptop nearby configured so that she can either get on, or so you can watch porn together provides a good distraction from this too (just make sure your name is not somewhere on the laptop she can see).
Many of the boutique hotels -- Kimpton in specific -- do this, but as technology changes the major brands are keeping up to be more "high touch" in this disconnected world.
Even if the TV does not "greet you" by name, if you use the video check out feature it will show you your bill and ALL of your personal info.
I don't know if there is any way to disable this feature short of unplugging the tv.
But if a girl is looking to find out who you are, she is probably going to find it one way or the other.

It can become a huge expenditure of time even for a single person, especially if they move around a lot. It can be sometimes worth the effort (and interesting) if you're doing it on one person, but if you do it regularly it can be exhausting, and thus the market for these data consolidation services that harvest the data for you and provide it all in one place for a fee, and depending on how much you value your time it can be a great deal. I look at it like a PIs time is cheaper than mine so it's a relative bargain. Downside is they may not have everything on the person, paying them is kind of a leap of faith, and same is true of using a PI. A few times I have found myself missing information because a county website had weird / non-standard search behavior and was counter-intuitive in how it worked.

I just hope privacy concerns will win out over that trend and that it goes away. I rarely watch TV in hotels at all, much less when I'm with an SB, but I admit I don't like that I feel like I have to check the channels every time I check in.
Yes if she really wants to know she will find out, but I won't make it easy. Also most of my girls are not ongoing dates, and the encounters rarely conclude in such a way that they would do little more than Google me out of curiosity. Even among girls that where the M&G led to an overnighter in the FC, I can't remember one that asked me my last name. But the risk is always there. One recent girl announced to me on the second date (as we were sitting in the jacuzzi after sex) that she is pretty sure she's ovulating. I didn't cum inside her but of course pulling out there's a risk of pregnancy. She said "oh well, If I do get pregnant I have your number". I didn't tell her it's a burner number that can't be traced back I just said "yeah no worries". This was a stripper I met at her work, not someone familiar with the SB scene so I don't think burner number was first in her mind.

Especially the newbies. I had a M&G for lunch and the baby went to the ladies, leaving her wallet, cell phone, and keys at the table. I didn't realize it until she had been gone long enough for it to be risky to be digging into in case she was quick returning, but you have to be on the lookout for such opportunities (and guard against making such bonehead gaffes ourselves). I posted recently also about how easy it can be to track girl's real identity down if they aren't savvy.
The hot tub higly decreased the odds by a long shot I'm sure. Depending how soon after.
I was thinking about that at the time and figured she probably was too. Followed up weeks later, and thankfully no indication of a baby-jeez on her FB account. LOL.
That's one good thing about FB, most of the time I can continue seeing up to date photos of these girls, most of them post selfies with reasonably high frequency. I have had a few close calls even in the last couple of years, where they did become prego within a time frame where it almost could have been mine. In both cases it turned out to be their boyfriend's kid and not mine (confirmable by the birth announcement also on FB). And in both cases they were not even dating the baby's daddy six months later. LOL. Future generations are so screwed.

Sometimes even the news.
Was chatting up a MILF in NYC. She told me her industry and that she just worked in NYC but lived in Rochester. Her screen name was just her real first name backwards.
Her job function / industry is pretty unusual, especially for a woman.
Went on LinkedIn, searched by first name, city and industry and poof, there she was.
Google then pointed me to the local newspaper and TV news -- she was arrested for embezzling $10 k from a local client --took the funds, never delivered the servcies promised.
Oh, yeah. I'm going to be alone with her in a hotel room!

Bought some on ebay from some Asian chick from any Ivy school who freaked out when she read the insert. Got it at a nice discount and still had a long expiration date. Then I found generics (levonorgestrel, 1. 5 mg) available on ebay from somewhere in SE Asia. Less than $10 for those and same drug as the Plan B.
