They can threaten to call police, but they have no information on you, so they can't look up your family members, employer, etc, and thus would procure far less money, if any, from you by threatening you. The sheer variables that I cannot imagine up that exist by leaving a trail of electronic communication is one of the reasons I don't dally with prostitutes unless they're walking the street. I will tell you one thing: The two women who've done the worst to me, I don't even report on here, because I play for keeps and don't want to give probable cause.
