Sting in progress at 6:00 pm Thursday in OQ area. Just watched the poor dude negotiate through the window with two cuties a blond and a brunette. They walked away into the lobby of the hotel next to 711 as he drove into the 711 lot where LEO snagged him. When I parked on the railroad side of the Baymont to watch what I though could be a sting a long time ago, the stupid bitsh walked all the way from the bus stop to my car, tapped on the window several times until I rolled the window down, leaned closer holding her phone screen towards me about tit high and asked if I "wanted to have some fun", I said no thanks, she said "oh come on, you'll like it", again, no thanks, she catches a major attitude and starts to storm off when an unsuspecting sap pulls up to her, and after about 30 seconds, they swarm him from every direction, at least 6 cars, guns drawn and yelling at him to get on the ground (that could have been ME)! Totally blocked me in. I had to wait until they arrested him and a deputy drove his car away. I pulled over to the gas pumps at the 7-11 to watch the next one. A guys pulls up to the front door of the Baymont in a minivan and goes in to register. He comes back out and pops his hatch and unloads his luggage. The same UC comes up to him, and after probably a good 5 minutes, here they come, guns drawn, yelling for him to get down on the ground, arrested him, and drove his van away. Somehow those scenarios are legal?! You have to keep your guard up. Don't negotiate through the window. Make them get in. Drive for a bit before discussing anything, and get out of the area. Just because they aren't doing a sting on that particular night doesn't mean they aren't surveying the area. If they see you pick up a legit SW, they will follow you and try to catch you in the act, they really seem to have nothing better to do sometimes. I have heard of and witnessed it a number of times. To my knowledge never last more than a year.
