Ok. I think I get what you want.
Still didn't see a named flip flop there.
If Obama was giving multihour conferences everyday and spending the majority of time on coronavirus the media would be fawning all over him.
The point of the mitigation was to prevent the overwhelming of our health care system, not to stop cases or deaths. The point was to flatten out the curve, but that doesn't necessarily stop the number of overall cases under the curve, an impossible task and goal anyway.
Our governors have taken their mandate and gone overboard with it. They have lost sight of the true goal and become absolute authoritarians. This still is supposed to be the United States where we have a right to freedom and privacy. We have to manage our own risks. Why does Kroger's and Walgreens get to be open but the guy running his own business has to go broke? Aren't the inside of the stores essentially the same environment with the same risk?
Here you go. Wave it while you get out there and thin the herd.
Not exactly, at least in the US
More people have died from car accidents or slip and falls, heck, from being shot, than from the Corona virus. Do you think we should stop driving? I would link data for you, but I am sure there are others who will do it faster. Wrecked economy from this forced altruism and can't even get routine healthcare right now. Seriously.
I didn't check the other causes of death you mentioned but look at these.
More Covid deaths (46,000) than last year's auto deaths (38,000).
