Views on the internet, in aggregate, and at scale, are worth $$ They are worth a decent amount more if they allow you to serve ads that fall into ad categories that major platforms do not allow (payday loans, adult oriented, gambling, tobacco, overseas pharma, etc). So someone will build a scraper, that essentially copies, and reformats BP and CL ads. They then ad alarmist headlines to the information. This increases the number of clicks to the sites. "Oh no, this is information I want to know". Even if its fake info. When someone google searches links, and clicks the "sting" link, that moves that link higher in the search engine, yielding more traffic, yielding more ad revenue for the site admin. A similar one these sites do is the fake name generator that ads the word obituary to the title of the name. "John Smith Obituary <current year ". If someone hasn't spoken to John Smith in a long time, they are probably not close enough to him to know if he died or not, so they will likely alarmingly click it. Again, it is just a revenue generator for people the run ad sites.
