OK you guys, I live no where near your area but have been a student of this thread. SA seems to be awesome for a guy that is on the edge of going to BP but is looking for something. I went for the 15 day trial. I have to say, I travel a lot so I spend a fair amount of time looking in the cities I will soon be in. With my first try, I hit paydirt in Windsor with a 20 yo sweetheart. After chatting for a bit through both SA and email, she took a cab to the FC I was staying at and we had quite the time. There is a lot in the how-to highlights thread about the former, including some statements contradictory to yours. Given the 7 figure impact of the latter, that is my bigger worry. I, for better or worse, like many SDs, have loyalty accounts with all major hotels. If they get my right name and match it with my existing account, that 'stay' shows up in the account. A time bomb waiting to be found. Even famous chains have down-market properties that I might be using as the FC without really being aware that I am about to get Hyatt points or whatever. I have not yet been comfortable to book a room under my own name and then show up trying to pay with a gift card or cash. My baby currently is single and capable of booking a room herself and understands my need. I just give her the cash. Not all girls can / will do this, however -.

This has been an interesting process. I've not had success yet, but I'm learning it is a lot of work.

On a number of occasions I saw not problem sacrificing the loyalty points to let her get the room for me. My SO does not have access to any of my accounts, logins, etc. So it's worth noting that because of that, I feel more comfortable doing it that way. There have been times I've used Hotwire also, that keeps me from getting loyalty points and allows some anonymity. I still think there is a way to have a separate loyalty account that only you have access to, with your work address. Either way, each person has to decide where to put there effort and what's more manageable. I found that it was easier for me to be diligent in keeping certain information away from the SO than working to check in anon.

It may have been discussed before, but what are the general thoughts I a girl who claims to be willing to travel hours to see you, even without terms of sugar discussed? I may need to put more research in, however at this stage even if she is legit, I'm not sure with my schedule how I feel about that. If I have a last minute change, canceling on someone who drove a couple hours seems like asking for trouble.

All turned out to be pro's but YMMV.

Alot of girls drive hours only to have the guy go datk on them leaving them to have to find money home. My advice to them is always take enough money to get home if the guy does them this way. Scammers use this to make a little dough by asking for so much up front. Its always a roll of the dice when traveling for both. Lots of girls are provided tickets to fly so it up to whether you want to take the chance.

One of the best SBs I ever had agreed to meet me for dinner in a city I was staying at. About 30 minutes before agreed upon start time, she starts texting me that she is stuck in traffic, running late, etc. She ended up being almost an hour late total, and when she got there I asked her where in the world was she coming from, and I was shocked to find it was a small town almost 2 hours away! She never mentioned it before that. I couldn't believe she drove that far for some fucking on unknown terms. They often put the nearest drivable major city in their profile as a privacy tactic rather than where they really live. I've already determined that I wish to follow that model of not talking sugar unless I can't avoid it. It's a bit of a learning curve here.

Time is my biggest challenge right now, between all the things I have going on, going silent for more than 2 hours or so is a challenge.
