I don't think Richmond is near as far along though and it doesn't seem like Hanover has a big enough problem to even address it. I have heard too that Henrico and Chesterfield are building prisons specifically for addicts with abuse specialists on staff.

I'm a firm believer in that we aid in supporting their habit however if it weren't for us violent crimes would skyrocket. Those with a substance abuse problem, specifically narcotics, would certainly do whatever it took to acquire that next fix. There was a question posed on here the other day inquiring as to the ratio these girls get picked up by LE for narcotics vs. Prostitution. I'd venture to say the numbers are somewhere around 85 to 90% drugs! It's definitely a vicious cycle for these girls. I've experienced it within my own family. Thankfully the outcome was good but that's rare.

It is the oldest product with a price tag after all, so I don't think we need to feel bad about that. Unless ofcourse you actively encourage drug use in someone who is trying to get out for your own personal gain. In that case you suck.

As far as why, what I have found more often than not is they use drugs to block the pain of other mental health issues or trauma and then turn to prostitution to pay for the drugs. Keep in mind that there are girls with no addiction issues that do this.

There are several sober living programs throughout Richmond Chesterfield but unless you have the upfront $ you ain't getting a bed. I have a son who was in willingness house in Henrico who is Mcshinn brother I believe. These are for profit places not saying they don't work but just kind of out of reach for most addicts with little help. Be safe.

We are not enablers. We pay for what we want. That's what they do. What they do with what we give them is their business. Don't think too much about a date that is beneficial to us.

This isn't an official report from LE but from my sources that are familiar with the situation, they are saying it wasn't drugs. I'm hearing she had a date set up around the time "things happened". There was some drugs found on the scene but not sure what role they played.

This is a dangerous business in both sides and we should never let our guard down or be lackadaisical just because we been there before or just not paying attention to our surroundings.
