If you talked to a cop, then the easiest way to verify is ask where he works and then call the main switchboard and ask to be transferred to officer 'whoever'. If he answers tell him you have a few questions about your conversation. Also, where is the name of the girl or a link to her SA account. Was the account reported for being underage?

The calls were likely a scam playing up panic over the recent news about the idiot in Florida paying underage girls with Venmo and tagging the payments as 'college and tuition'.

Just a heads up. So I was about to get my feet wet in the SB thing by joining seeking. I tried to pay with a vanilla card and it immediately suspended my account. I emailed them to find out why and they said they use an algorythm that evaluates transactions for likelihood of being fraudulent. They told me they would let me use my vanilla card if I sent a picture of a valid government I'd so they could run a check. I am not going to do that.
